Dear Greg,

Thanks for contacting us. Was the video stored on your iPad 2 taken with the iPad or with another device? I just checked our code and we may have an issue for that particular transfer direction, I think what's happening is that when the transfer starts the iPad 2 thinks that the iPhone 4 can't play the resolution of your video so it downsamples it before sending it. This is the correct behavior when transferring from an iPhone 4, or 4S to an iPhone 3GS (which can't play full HD videos) and with other device combinations but should not happen with an iPad 2 -> iPhone 4 transfer.

I added this to our list of issues and we will reviewing this scenario. If you can please tell me the source the video and if you know the resolution.

In the meantime, what you can do as a workaround is to first transfer the video to a computer using our app and then to the iPhone 4 - I know this is not very practical but should work as a workaround.

Best regards,

Enrique

Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. The address provided by the app is the actual IP address of your device on the network that is currently connected to. You need to connect to that address using a web browser from your computer via HTTP. We currently do not support FTP to transfer photos.

If you are unable to reach the address provided by the app it may be because of the configuration of the MIFI router which may prevent devices to communicate with each other. If that's the case please tell us what type of MIFI device you have so we can research how to configure it to allow communication between devices connected to it.

I hope this helps. Kind regards,

Enrique

Dear Dan,

I'm sorry for not responding earlier! I just added one response to another question you posted on the forum. Are you still having issues with the app? If yes, please tell us what type of wifi network you are using. This type of connectivity issues may occur on busy networks like at hotels or coffee shops. If you are using a home wifi network then please tell us what brand and model of router you have so we can do some research about it and try to find a solution.

One other thing to try is to select smaller batches of photos so there are less chances of the connection to be interrupted during the transfer.

I hope this helps. Kind regards,

Enrique

Hello,

I would like to clarify that Photo Transfer App now allows you to organize photos into different albums. To do that you first need to update your iPhone / iPad to iOS5 if you haven't done it already. Then, update our app to the latest version (3.01) and you will be able to select and create new albums using the transfer web page that appears when you go to the address provided inside of the app.

I hope this helps. Happy new year!

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hi Dan,

What type of wifi network are you using? If you are using a public wifi network like at a hotel or coffee shop you may experience these intermittent connection issues due to the traffic volume of the network. Let us know what type of wifi network you are using so we can suggest some other troubleshooting tips.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Dear Fred,

Thanks a lot for your feedback. Sorry for not responding earlier.

Your suggestions are very good. We added your video/photo filter suggestion to our todo list and hope we can integrate it in a future release of the app. Regarding your last point, that should have been fixed already with update 3.01. You should be able to send videos from your iPhone 4S to your iTouch using the latest update of the app. Let us know if you have any trouble with that.

Thanks again! Happy new year!

Regards,

Enrique

Hello,

I would like to clarify that the 'Windows Photo Viewer' is an older software that does not recognize the rotation headers on iPhone photos and that is why your photos are not showing correctly. Our app transfers photos exactly as stored on your iPhone.

Please try using a different software to view your photos like Google Picasa, Photoshop, or any other software you have have installed to view your photos.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hi Matt,

When you transfer from Computer to iPad you need to use the 'Upload photos' button on the transfer web page. That button will show you the list of files to select on your computer, then, on that window you should be able to select the 'thumbnails' view so you can better choose the photos you want to transfer. The thumbnails button should switch the view from a list of files to a list of images that show your photos in your computer.

I hope this makes sense. Let us know if you have any other question.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hello,

The update that fixes this issue was approved by Apple today and is finally available on the app store. Please go ahead and update the app to the latest version (3.01). I'm sorry it took so long to have this update released, we don't know why Apple hold it for so long but we are happy is finally out.

Thanks again for your patience. Happy holidays!
