Let me clarify the previous answer a little bit. The bug that Amber described on her answer is only happening when transferring videos from Computer to Device. You should be able to transfer from Device to Computer without any issue regardless of the size.

It seems that the issue may be with how your computer is reading the videos. Are you getting an specific error when trying to play the videos after they are transferred? I would suggest to try to right-click over the file and the use the 'Open with..' menu and then choose quicktime.

Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry you are having issues with the app. This connection problem is most likely related to the configuration of the network you are using. If you tell us what type of wifi network you are using and the brand of your wifi router we will be very happy to help you figure out a solution. The app store does not offer a mechanism to try apps and Apple does not allow developers to process refunds, that's how they designed the app store.

That's strange. Did the transfer of your finished successfully? Normally, the app will give you a message saying that the files were transferred to the computer, did you get this message?

Also, it is strange that the app is giving you an option to download the files as 'MIS', did you import some of those photos/videos from another device? Were they all taken with your iPhone?

One thing you may want to try is to rename the .cpgz file back to .zip and try to unzip it then. Also, try to select other photos/videos and see if the app behaves the same way.

Thanks for posting your question here. Unfortunately we don't have much control over the file names of the photos. We depend on the programming interfaces that Apple provides on the iPhone SDK to read the photos and videos and they do not include being able to read the original name of the files. Basically, when a photo is saved to an iPhone or an iPad they get assigned an internal name created by the 'Photos' app. When we read the photos they already have a different name which makes it impossible to go back to the original name.

I'm really sorry to hear the app is not what you expected. You can actually select up to 112 photos at one time with iPhone 4 are iPhone 3GS. This limitation is mentioned on the app description on the 4th bullet point of the Application features: " Select up to 100 photos to transfer at one time (32 on iPhone 3G and 1st. generation)".

What device are you using? If you have an iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS you can also change this limitation and increase the number of photos and videos that you can select at one time. To do that, open the 'Settings' app on your device, scroll until you find the settings of our app and change the selection limit setting. I would recommend not to exceed 200 photos to avoid any transfer problem.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately for now we don't support transferring RAW files from computer to iPad. We are working on enabling that feature for our next software update.

One thing you may want to try (although is a bit of a 'hack') is to rename your RAW files to .JPG (if you just have a few files to transfer) and then you can try to transfer them using our app. I would recommend you to try this with just 1 file to see if it works and then if it does you can upload a few more if you need to.

I will update this thread as soon as the app update is available with this feature.

I'm sorry to hear about your problem. How did you delete your photos? was it using the 'Photos' app? Our app (Photo Transfer) does not have the ability to delete photos from your device, we can only read and copy photos, Apple does not allow third party apps like ours to delete photos of any device.

If you are using the camera connection kit then that works completely independently from our app. The CCK is made by Apple and we don't have any control over it. Maybe you can visit the apple discussion forums to see if there is a solution there: http://discussions.apple.com

I'm sorry I can't be more useful. Please let us know some extra details about how you deleted your photos to research if there is a solution.

We are actually in the process of re-thinking our user interface and this makes a lot of sense since a lot of people may be in the same situation as you. Thanks for posting your question here. The only link between our app and facebook is the small frame on the transfer web page that links to the 'like button'. Basically, when the transfer web page is loaded an 'iframe' is loaded at the bottom with a button to become a fan of the app on facebook.

Most likely when you are loading the transfer web page the web browser displays 'loading from facebook.com' because is requesting the 'like button'. There is no other link or communication with facebook.com, we certainly do not transfer any personal information or anything else with facebook.
