Dear Jim,
Thanks for posting your question here. I will be happy to help you.
Does this happen only with photos transferred from your computer to your iPad? Are the photos in a very high resolution?
The app transfers the photos in full resolution in both directions from iPad to computer and from computer to iPad. The photos get reduced only when using iTunes. Our app preserves the full resolution image on the device. When viewing an image on the device Apple internally uses a reduced version of the image to be displayed on the screen (To avoid loading the full resolution image on the device) but the full resolution representation is still there. Perhaps that is what is causing the lag in loading?
I would recommend that you close out the photos app and relaunch it to refresh the library and let me know if it still lags while trying to load your photos.
Warm Regards,
Amber

Dear Veraxus,
Thank you for posting your question and suggestion here. We really appreciate it.
If you do not have access to a wifi network, you can set up an ad-hoc network on your computer.
To setup an 'ad-hoc' network between your computer and your device. Here are the instructions on how to create an 'ad-hoc' network using Windows 7:
http://www.kombitz.com/2009/02/09/win...
Windows Vista:
http://getsatisfaction.com/photo_tran...
Windows XP:
http://getsatisfaction.com/photo_tran...
Mac:
http://getsatisfaction.com/photo_tran...
After you create the ad-hoc network on your computer go to your device and using the 'Settings' app join the ad-hoc wifi network that you just created.
After joining the ad-hoc network on your device open 'Photo Transfer App' and you should get a new address that you can use from your computer's web browser to start transferring photos. If you get a 'No wifi connection' message just close the app and wait for a few seconds until the little wifi icon is displayed on the top left corner of your iPad/iPhone.
Let me know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Amber

Dear Th,
Thanks for your warm compliments, we appreciate it :)
Are you having issues with Blank pictures showing up? If so, I would recommend the following:
We've noticed that sometimes the iPad/iPhone has trouble saving photos that are in very high resolution, so maybe a good test would be to resize one of your photos that are not transferring correctly before uploading them to the iPad to see if that helps. Do you know what size are the files of your photos?
I have another suggestion that may help with the problem you are having. Please follow this instructions to enable a workaround that should help solving the issue:
1. Open the 'Settings' app on your iPad/iPhone and scroll down until you find our app ('Transfer')
2. Change the switch for 'Use old saving APIs' to ON
Doing this will tell our application to use the old programming interfaces provided by Apple to save your photos. The old programming interface is more forgiving in terms of photo format and size.
Let me know how it goes when you try to reduce the resolution before uploading.
Kind regards,
Amber

Are you running the latest version of our app 3.1? Others where experiencing the same issue when they updated to iOS5.1 but not the app. Was there any error message when you extracted your empty zip file or was there just no content?
It could also be you need to clear your batch of files and refresh the library. To transfer new photos you can simply touch the 'Select photos & videos' button and then use the 'Clear' button to unselect the photos you had selected before - this does not delete your photos, it only clears your previous selection. This can refresh your selections and you can attempt to transfer again.
Please let me know if you continue having problems. I will be very happy to help.

Amber

Dear Wayne,

When you receive the .zip file on your computer did you unzip the files? When you transfer photos from your iDevice to your computer it .zips the photos/videos and you need to extract them. To extract them right click on the .zip file and hit "Extract Files". You can choose to extract them to a new folder or at the location where the .zip file is, for example; to your desktop. Any windows computer should allow you to extract files from a zip file without having to install or pay for any extra software.
I would also suggest you right-click the 'Download photos as zip file' on the transfer web page to be able to select where to save the photos using the 'Save linked file as..' menu.
I hope this helps.

Amber

Dear Kym,
Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Make sure you are typing the address in the address bar of your web browser and not the search engine of your web browser like google.
I would recommend you to double check that your iPhone/iPad and computer are connected to the same wifi network as sometimes the iPhone/iPad may join automatically another nearby network. Also, are you using a home wifi network or a public wifi network? Please note that sometimes it takes couple of attempts to establish communication.
Please make sure that you keep the app running on your device and that you type the address exactly as it appears on the app including the 'http://' and the ':8080' parts. Finally, you could also try resetting your wifi router to make sure that all connections get refreshed. After you reset the wifi router you need to join the network again on your iPhone/iPad and try the transfer process again.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you continue having problems, if you do please send me the address that you are getting to check if it looks ok. I will be very happy to help.
Kind regards,
Amber

Are you transferring from another iDevice to your iPhone using bluetooth? Can you tell me what exactly you're having problems with so I can better assist you?
Normally, transferring one photo from iPhone to iPad over Bluetooth it should take no more than 10 seconds. The transfer should be quite fast.
What type of photo are you trying to transfer? Is it a photo that you took with the iPhone or was it imported using iTunes to your iPhone?
I would recommend you to close the app on our device, then, open the photos app on your iPhone and then launch our app again and try the transfer. Opening the photos app on your iPhone before trying a transfer is important because it ensures that the photo database is updated.
Make sure you are running the latest version on both devices. It should be: 3.1.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you continue having problems and if you do please send us some information about the photo that you are trying to transfer. We will be happy to help.
Kind Regards,
Amber
