How do I speed up viewing downloaded images?

Does this happen only with photos transferred from your computer to your iPad? Are the photos in a very high resolution?

The app transfers the photos in full resolution in both directions from iPad to computer and from computer to iPad. The photos get reduced only when using iTunes. Our app preserves the full resolution image on the device. When viewing an image on the device Apple internally uses a reduced version of the image to be displayed on the screen (To avoid loading the full resolution image on the device) but the full resolution representation is still there. Perhaps that is what is causing the lag in loading?

I would recommend that you close out the photos app and relaunch it to refresh the library and let me know if it still lags while trying to load your photos.

This is Enrique, the developer of the app. As Amber mentioned, our app transfers photos in full resolution, however, the Photos app creates different versions fo the same photo and uses a medium resolution version to be displayed on the iPad. The photos should display quickly on the iPad even when the original photo was in very high resolution. How did you take those photos? in what format?

Something you may want to try is to restart your iPad just to make sure that everything is cleared from memory. Then, try to view the photos again and let me know if they slowness continues. If it does then you can try reducing the resolution of the photos to see if the issue improves. Hope this helps!
