Dear Karen,

I will be more then happy to help you. I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with the app.

Does this error message appear after you try to transfer your photos? I would also suggest you right-click the 'Download photos as zip file' on the transfer web page to be able to select where to save the photos using the 'Save linked file as..' menu.

To select multiple photos to upload from computer to your iPad you need to press the 'Ctrl' key on windows or the 'Apple' key on mac as you select the photos that you want to transfer from your computer. Pressing this key will allow you to select and transfer multiple photos at one time.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you continue to have problems.

Kind regards,

Amber

Hello Paul,

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be happy to help you.

As of right now you have to be on the same wireless network as the receiving device. You also have to have the app installed on the receiving device and running at the same time to transfer between two idevices.

So we don't support transferring between two devices across different networks as it isn't possible with our app currently.

This is a great suggestion though :)

Hello Stefan,

Thank you for posting your question here. I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with the app. I will be more then happy to assist you.

Make sure you keep the app running when you attempt to transfer the video. What is the length/size of the video you are trying to transfer? In order for it to transfer it needs to be in a .MOV format. Also have you tried updating your iOS? Make sure you are running the latest version of our app as well (3.2).

If you still have problems you can try the following:

I would recommend you to try to open the 'Photos' app before you start a transfer to make sure that the photo catalog is up to date. Opening the photos app forces the database to get updated, then, try to transfer your videos again using our app. Sometimes the photo database needs to be updated before a transfer takes place otherwise the 'Photos' app interface returns an error.

If that does not work then, try this:

1. Open the 'Settings' app on your device and scroll down until you find our app ('Transfer')

2. Change the switch for 'Use old saving APIs' to ON and close the settings app.

Doing this will tell our application to use the old programming interfaces provided by Apple to save your photos. It looks like the new programming interface provided in the last SDK is having some problems with certain photos/videos. I hope that will fix the problem you are having. Let me know when you have a chance to try this out.

Let me know if this works or if you need further assistance!

Warm Regards,

Amber

Dear Dolphin,

Thanks for contacting us, I will be happy to help you.

You need to have the app installed on both devices, then you need to verify that both devices are connected to the same wifi network and that the network is not a public wifi hotspot that may be restricted. Public wifi spots are sometimes configured to block communication.

After you have successfully connected you need to launch the app on the Android device and on the iPad and go to the 'Send/Receive' screens respectively to start the transfer.

Please let me know if this helps :)

Dear JCB,

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be happy to help you.

Yes. If you do not select an album then the photos will be saved to the Camera roll. Even when selecting an album the photos will also be saved to the Camera roll because the photos can't live alone on the album as designed by Apple with the new upgrade of iOS5.

Please let me know if this helps! :)

Dear Letty,

Thanks for posting your question here. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Are you still using the same wifi network as before when the app worked? or, are you using a different wifi network? Please note that some public wifi networks at hotels or coffee shops are configured to block communication between devices.

Make sure that you keep the app running on your device and that you use the address that appears inside of the app, do not bookmark the address as it may change from time to time. Also, if you continue having problems you could try to reset your wifi router and join the network again from your iPhone/iPad and your computer to make sure that all connections are refreshed.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you continue having problems and tell me what type of wifi network you are using and the address that the app is giving you. I will be very happy to help.

Kind regards,

Amber

Dear Dorcus,

Our application does not send pictures to Craigslist. You have to use Craigslist's upload image functionality.

Do you have the latest version of Flash on your computer? That could be one reason why it isn't working. Not sure what type of error you are receiving but you might want to try closing out the page and relaunching it and attempt your upload again.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions in regards to our app, I will be more then happy to assist you.

Dear Jim Koenig,

Photo Transfer App allows you to easily download photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad to your computer as well as exchange photos from and to your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Transfer over WiFi, no cables or extra software required.

Our app is used over a wifi network and not by cable. So the only thing you can do is sync your iPad with iTunes to transfer photos while being connected.

You can find more information about our app on our website here: www.PhotoTransferApp.com

I hope this helps!

Dear AntMartino,

Thanks for posting your question here. I will be happy to help you.

Its most likely that the network at your hotel is preventing the communication between devices which is a common thing on hotel or public networks. I would suggest creating an ad-hoc network between computer and device.

To setup an 'ad-hoc' network between your computer and your device. Here are the instructions on how to create an 'ad-hoc' network using Windows 7:

http://www.kombitz.com/2009/02/09/win...

Windows Vista:

http://getsatisfaction.com/photo_tran...

Windows XP:

http://getsatisfaction.com/photo_tran...

Mac:

http://getsatisfaction.com/photo_tran...

After you create the ad-hoc network on your computer go to your device and using the 'Settings' app join the ad-hoc wifi network that you just created.

After joining the ad-hoc network on your device open 'Photo Transfer App' and you should get a new address that you can use from your computer's web browser to start transferring photos. If you get a 'No wifi connection' message just close the app and wait for a few seconds until the little wifi icon is displayed on the top left corner of your iPad/iPhone.

Let me know how it goes.

Photo Transfer App
Hello!

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be more then happy to help you.

The app transfers the photos in full resolution in both directions. The photos get reduced only when using iTunes. Our app preserves the full resolution image on the device. When viewing an image on the device Apple internally uses a reduced version of the image to be displayed on the screen (To avoid loading the full resolution image on the device) but the full resolution representation is still there.

So you should be able to see the edited photo as it will transfer the photo exactly as it is on the iDevice.

I hope this helps!

Amber
