Dear Tomas,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having issues with the app.

The issue with iPhone 4S videos is that they are in 1080p resolution and currently the iPad 1 cannot handle videos on that resolution. Our app transfers the videos in full resolution and when they are received by the iPad 1 they are rejected by the photos app.

We are working on reducing the resolution of the videos before the transfer takes place when the receiving device can't handle 1080p videos. We have submitted an update to Apple and we are waiting for Apple to approve it.

I'm sorry about this issue. Thanks for your patience. I will let you know when we publish this update.

Kind regards,
Amber

Dear Downman,

Thanks for contacting us, I will be more then happy to help you.

Yes, unfortunately that is something that Apple implemented in the new iOS5. We personally wish this feature could be removed or maybe even be able to disable. But that is how Apple decided to handle the photo album feature by making a duplicate and placing them in the Camera Roll.

We wish there was something we could do about this but unfortunately there isn't as again, its based on Apple.

I hope you had a great weekend, please let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,

Amber

Dear Tammy,

Thanks for contacting us, I will be more then happy to help you.

Here are the instructions on how to transfer from PC to iPad using our app: http://phototransferapp.com/help/ipad...

1. Make sure your computer and your iPad are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
2. Open 'Photo Transfer' app and touch 'Receive'
3. Touch the "Windows Computer" button.
4. Open a web browser in your computer and type the address exactly as that appears on your iPad.

Make sure that you type the address directly on the address bar and not on the Google search bar.
5. Click on the 'Upload Images' button. Then, choose the photos that you would like to upload from your computer to your iPad. You can choose a maximum of 50 photos at one time in JPG, GIF and PNG format.

To upload videos make sure that the videos are in .MOV format.

Done! You will see a progress bar in the web page as the images or videos are uploaded to your device.

As far as your question about your photos going public the answer is no. There is no sharing of your content on the internet, server or anywhere else. It is not saved and then transferred to you, it is sent to you via your iDevice and directly to/from your computer. So the only person who can possibly view the photos/videos is you.

Please let me know if I can assist you further :)

Warm Regards,

Amber

Hi Uemit,

Thanks for posting your question here.

What type of photo are you trying to transfer? Is it a photo that you took with the iPhone or was it imported using iTunes to your iPhone?

I would recommend you to close the app on our device, then, open the photos app on your iPhone and then launch our app again and try the transfer. Opening the photos app on your iPhone before trying a transfer is important because it ensures that the photo database is updated. You could also try to reset your wifi router to make sure that all connections get refreshed. After you reset the wifi router you need to join the network again from your iPhone an your iPad and try the transfer process again

By the way, we just released version 3.0 so you may want to update the application on your iPhone and your iPad to have the latest version.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you continue having problems and if you do please send us some information about the photo that you are trying to transfer. We will be happy to help.

Kind regards,

Amber

Thanks for contacting us, I am sorry to hear you are having issues with the app. I will be more then happy to assist you.

Our App transfers photos exactly as they appear on the device. There is no modifications, changes etc. done to the photo during the transfer. Are you using the same computer and software to view the photos with?

If you want you can send us a sample of the photo(s) you are attempting to transfer to our support email ( support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com )

Thanks!

Dear Sam,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app.

Make sure you are typing the address in the address bar of your web browser and not the search engine of your web browser like Google.

I would recommend you to double check that your iPhone/iPad and computer are connected to the same wifi network as sometimes the iPhone/iPad may join automatically another nearby network. Also, are you using a home wifi network or a public wifi network?

If you verified that they are in the same wifi network then you could try using the alternate address that appears on your iPhone/iPad when you launch our app (the one that says for Windows computers with a few numbers). Please note that sometimes it takes couple of attempts to establish communication.

Also, please make sure that you keep the app running on your device and that you type the address exactly as it appears on the app including the 'http://' and the ':8080' parts.

Finally, you could also try resetting your wifi router to make sure that all connections get refreshed. After you reset the wifi router you need to join the network again on your iPhone/iPad and try the transfer process again.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you continue having problems, if you do please post the address that you are getting to check if it looks ok. I will be very happy to help.

Kind regards,

Amber

Dear Phil,

The Android can transfer using iOS5. You need to select the three options button "windows mac and another device" in the app. When you select this option this treats your Android like an iphone/ipad. Just make sure to run the Photo Transfer App on the Android device in order for it to work.

We have more information about our app on our website: www.PhotoTransferApp.com

I hope this helps!
