Dear Brian,

Thanks for contacting us. Let's try something, please go to the search screen on your ipad by simply swiping to the left on the first page of apps on your iPad/iPhone. Then type 'Transfer' on the search field and if the app is installed then you will see it on the search results.

If the app does not appear then it means it has not yet been installed on your device. In this case, launch the 'App store' app and search for our app by typing "Photo Transfer App" on the search field and then install it from there.

I hope this helps you! Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Best,

Enrique

Dear Ivor,

Thanks for contacting us. That's quite strange, our app transfers your photo files exactly as they are stored on your computer without making any modifications. Then we use the programing interfaces provided by Apple to save the photos to the 'Photos' app. Did you make any modifications to the photo files before using our app to transfer them? Let us know some details about the files that you are trying to transfer so we can undestand where the problem may be.

Dear Toni,

Thanks for contacting us. Maybe the app icon was put into an app folder and that's why you can't find it. Let's try something. Go to the first page of apps on your iPad then scroll to the right to reveal the iPad's search screen and then type the word 'Transfer' to try to fin the app this way. If the app is still installed on your iPad you should find it this way.

I hope this helps you! Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Dear Madelynn,

Thanks for contacting us. Can you tell us what type of wifi router do you have? If it is an Apple or Cisco router please make sure that you are using the main wifi network and not the guest network.

Another option is to use bluetooth to transfer your photos from iPhone to iPad. Simply select the photos you want to transfer on the iPhone and then touch the 'Use bluetooth' button on the "send/device" screen. That does not require your wifi network and should help you transferring your photos.

I hope this is useful. Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Dear Jessica,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having issues with the app. Can you try using the default windows program to do the unzip? Please try right-clicking on the zip file using the Windows File Explorer and then choosing 'Extract' to see if that helps.

Let us know when you try this. If the problem continues please tell us if you are getting an specific error message so we can understand the problem better. We will be happy to help.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hi,

Thanks for the extra information. The versions that you are using are correct. I think the problem may be that the 'Location settings' permissions are off for our app which may be causing the problem. Our app requires having 'Location services' turned on in order to read the photos on your device - this is a requirement from Apple. So I would ask you to go to the 'Settings' app on your iPhone and then touch the 'Location services' tab and then make sure that is ON for our app (listed as 'Transfer').

Let me know your results. I will be glad to continue helping.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Dear Kirk,

Sorry for not responding earlier. I would recommend you to take a new Photo with your device (the one that is receiving the photos) if the receiving device does not have a camera (iPad 1) then take a screenshot (pressing the power and the home button at once). That will force the photo database to refresh which sometimes causes this issue. Then, after you take the photo or screenshot go to the 'Photos' app to make sure the new photo is there and then back to our app to attempt the transfer again. Sometimes the photo database ends up behind and this helps refreshing it.

I hope this helps you!

Hi Cynthia,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry you've had problems with the app. This is Enrique, one of the developers of the app. Can you tell me if you are able to transfer photos using the web interface? If you don't have any trouble with the web interface then the problem probably is with the naming of one of your albums. Can you tell me if by any chance you have albums with the same name? Or with some special characters? Also, it is definitely important to double check what Amber mentioned about the 'Location Services', please verify those settings just to make sure that they are enabled for our app.

Sorry again about the bad experience you've had with our app. Give me some info about your results using the web interface and the name of your albums. I'll be glad to help you out!

Enrique

Hi Scott,
Are you sending the photos to your computer from your iPhone and iPad? Our app takes the original version of the photo stored on your device so the file should be exactly as it is on the device. When you email the photo do you choose the original image or a reduced size? If you choose the original then the file size should be exactly the same as the one transferred with our app.

If that's not the case then I would ask you if you could send us a sample to our support email (support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com) to further review this.

Best,

Enrique
