Hi Ceri, GVdi1,
Thanks for your interesting discussion and comments. Sorry I didn't provide feedback earlier. The issue with the format and the retouching of the JPG's makes sense. What I wanted to add is that when you transfer photos to an iDevice there are 3 versions of the photo that are created: A thumbnail, the original image and what Apple calls a "screen resolution" version which is a medium sized version that is the one used to display on the screen of your device.
So, even if you transfer a huge photo to your device using our app it would not matter in terms of the speed of displaying it. However, as you discovered it the format of the image and how Photoshop saves the JPG's may play a role on how fast the image is rendered on the display even when the medium resolution image is used internally.
I hope this makes some sense. Let me know if I can provide more feedback about this.
Cheers,
Enrique

Hi Robi,
This is Enrique, one of the developers of the app. I'm sorry you are having problems using the app. Can you try please to take a new picture with your iPhone and then opening the 'Photos' app to view it? That ensures that the photo database on your iPhone is refreshed. Then, after taking the photo and opened the 'Photos' app go to our app and try the transfer process again. I hope that will solve the problem - sometimes the internal photo database looses sync but taking a new photo should help.
Let us know your results! Have a nice Sunday,
Enrique

Just to clarify, if you created the albums using iTunes then you will have to use iTunes to remove the albums from your device. If you created the albums using 'Photo Transfer App' or directly using the 'Photos' app then you should be able to delete them directly on the 'Photos' app.

Hi,
Here is another tip if you continue having problems. Select the photos that you want to transfer and then append the following to the address provided by the app:
http://:8080/photos.zip
That should start the download of your images to your computer if the 'Download all photos' link is not showing when selecting PNG and JPG files together.
I hope this helps you. Please let us know if you have any other question or comment.
Kind regards,
Enrique

Hi John,
Thanks for the info. Ok, so from what you tell us it means that the 'Photos' app is actually having trouble reading the format that your photos are saved with. Somehow either the format is not recognized by the iPad or the files are corrupted. Can you see the photos on your computer without a problem? If yes, then I would make a test to re-save one of them in JPG format using Photoshop or any other editing softaware and I will try the transfer process again.
I hope this is useful. Let us know if you have any other question or comment.
Best,
Enrique

Dear Becky,
Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having issues with the app. Can you try using the default windows program to do the unzip? Please try right-clicking on the zip file using the Windows File Explorer and then choosing 'Extract' to see if that helps.
Also, if the problem persists, can you try transferring a different set of photos (maybe from a different album on your device) to see if the problem continues. Maybe the issue is with one of the photos stored on the device that is messing up the zip headers.
Let us know when you try these things. We will be happy to help.
Kind regards,
Enrique

Hi Ryan,
Yes, our app allows you to copy videos from your computer to the iPad's camera roll. You need to be able to access the videos on your computer and transfer them from there to your iPad via your wifi network. YOu only need to check that your iPad and computer are connected to the same wifi network. On the computer side you don't need anything to be installed, you only need a web browser like Safari, Google chrome or Firefox to transfer photos and videos.
Here is a video that shows how is done with photos which is the same process as with videos:

I hope the app will be useful to you! Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Dear Shaun,
Thanks for contacting us. This post is about a year old. Apple released iOS5 since then allowing developers to create albums from inside of the app as our app does now.
After you create the album from our app you can start transferring photos to the new album you created. Please open the 'Photos' app before starting our app to make sure that the photo library is up to date. Then try to create your album again and start uploading photos to it.
Let us know if you need more help. We will be glad to assist you.

Yes, the file name may actually be the problem in this case. Can you tell me what the name of the image was? That way I can run a test over here and solve the bug if there is one.
Thanks!!
