Thanks for contacting us. We are fixing this issue right now and we will be pushing an update in the next few days. In the meantime, if you are transferring from iPad to computer what you can do is to select the photos using the web browser instead. Go to the address provided by the app and then use the 'Select photos' button to select the photos you want to transfer.

Dear Laura,

Thanks for contacting us. Do you get that problem for all of your photos or only with a few? Also, do you know what format they are on? And, can you see them fine on your computer? One good test would be to send yourself one of those photos via email and then trying to save that image from the email program on your iPad to see if the same problem occurs when saving from the mail program.

Hi Scott,

One extra suggestion is to make sure that the transfer completes before you try to open the zip file. Just make sure that the transfer completes to 100% and the follow Amber's suggestion to right-click over the file and choose 'Extract' from the menu that appears.

If the problem continues then please try transferring a different set of photos to check if the problem is related to one of the photo files that you tried to transfer.

I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. I believe what's happening is that the mac app is timing out while waiting for the iPhone app to complete the process of creating the file to be transferred. I opened a ticket for this and we will be reviewing this issue to fix it as soon as possible.

In the meantime there is a quick solution for this. Please use the web interface to transfer your videos. Follow the same procedure as before but after your device is discovered by the Mac app just click on the 'Web interface' button located on the top right corner of the Mac app. Then please select the video that you want to transfer using your device and you should be able to transfer your video this way. Also, one extra suggestion is to re-install the app from your device to make sure that no temporary files were left during the failed transfers. Simply delete the app from your device and install it again from the app store (you won't be charged again).

Again, I apologize for this issue. We will be working to fix this. Please let us know when you have a chance to try transferring your video via the web interface.

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Are you still using the same wifi network as before when the app was working for you? Also, is it a home wifi network or a public network? If you are using the app at home, I would recommend you to try to reset your wifi router to make sure that all connections are refreshed.

Thanks for posting your question. And thanks to 'gvdid1' for providing good feedback regarding your question. One more advantage of the app vs iCloud is that you can transfer photos to any other computer or iPhone/iPad/Android that are connected to the same wifi network. With iCloud your photos are transferred only to your devices where you are logged in but you can't transfer to a friend's iPhone/iPad or computer.

Also iCloud can only transfer photos, no videos, whereas the app can transfer both.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems using the app. This error may happen sometimes when the internal photo database is out of sync. Let's try couple of things. First, try taking a photo with your iPad and then open the photos app and verify that the new photo is there. Then use our app to try your transfer again. If you are using an iPad 1 then take a screenshot instead by holding the power and home button at the same time.

If that does not help let's just try restarting your iPad to make sure everything is refreshed.

In general, it is a good thing to first launch the 'Photos' app on the iPad and then our app to make sure that the photo database is synched.

Let me know how things go after you try this.
