Video transfer from iPhone 4gs to iPad 2 not working - technical problem message after file transfer completed
hello. After going through the process of selecting a video shot on the iPhone and the transfer process the iPad client basically throws up an error message saying there is a technical problem with the file format being incompatible with the iPad 2. I bought this app tonight.

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with the app. I will be more then happy to assist you.
Make sure you keep the app running when you attempt to transfer the video. What is the length/size of the video?
Also note In order for it to transfer it needs to be in a .MOV format. To change it to a .MOV just simply change the extension from a WMV to .MOV. So your file should look like: filename.mov. How long is the video that you are trying to transfer?
If it is longer than 5 minutes you may need to make a change on the settings to allow the transfer. Here is what you need to do if the video is longer than 5 minutes: Open the 'Settings' app on your iPad and go to the settings for our app 'Transfer'). Then change the limit for the setting 'Max video duration' to 600 seconds (10 mins) or whatever you need. Please note that it may take a while to transfer if the video is very long.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Warm Regards,
Amber

I am attempting to transfer a video shot on my iphone 4S to my Ipad 2. Both devices have your app open and running. The video I was attempting to transfer is about 45 seconds long. I have checked the settings and increased the length to be safe. Both devices on on the same home wifi network. As such I should not have to change (and I don't think it is possible) formats.
Photos transfer fine but each time I try to transfer a natively shot video from the iphone to the ipad I get this error message after it looks like the transfer is actually happening (it gets all the way to 100%).
The only other thing I can think of is that the iphone is on ios 5.01 while the ipad is 4.3.2 However I cannot update the ipad because it is running an app for my business that is not compatible with ios5. However I did not see anything in your support or help or marketing literature that says that both transferring and receiving devices have to be on the same ios version.
Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do to get this working, otherwise I regret I will have to ask for a refund.
Thanks for the extra information. That makes sense, the issue is that the iPad 2 cannot play videos on 1080p on iOS4 and that's why you are seeing that issue. Apple fixed that when they released iOS5 allowing the iPad 2 to play 1080p videos.
You can either update your iPad to iOS5 or download your iPhone 4S video to your computer and then reduce the resolution of the video using a software like HandBrake (http://handbrake.fr/) and then upload it to your iPad 2.
I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other question or comment.
Kind regards,
Enrique
Photo Transfer App
It is a 12 min video but the setting was already at 1200 secs. I just changed it to 2000 lets see.
Sorry for not responding earlier. I would recommend you to take a new Photo with your device (the one that is receiving the photos) if the receiving device does not have a camera (iPad 1) then take a screenshot (pressing the power and the home button at once). That will force the photo database to refresh which sometimes causes this issue. Then, after you take the photo or screenshot go to the 'Photos' app to make sure the new photo is there and then back to our app to attempt the transfer again. Sometimes the photo database ends up behind and this helps refreshing it.
I hope this helps you!
Best,
Enrique
