Error message: image format may not be compatible with this device.
This app has worked for me in the past. I am on a home wi-fi network using QT ver 3.4.1. When transferring from PC to iPad, I get the above message. I press continue and no picture arrives. App keeps waiting while PC has already sent jpeg. I have tried changing API value to yes, reinstalling the app, resizing jpegs smaller, using pictures from different cameras, with no success. What do you suggest?

I took a photo and verified it was in my photos app and tried a transfer again. Same result, image may not be compatible with this device. I restarted the iPad and had the same error again. On the PC it looks like the transfer completed. Would there be an older version of this app available? It used to work. I do keep my apps updated and do not know when it stopped working.
I'm sorry you continue having issues. This is really strange, unfortunately there is no way to go back to an earlier version of the app as Apple does not provide a way to do that. Let's try one more thing, please uninstall our app from your device and then install it again from the app store (don't worry, you will not be charged again). Maybe there are some temporary files that are preventing the save to work properly. Also, please verify that you have enough space on your device just to make sure that's not the problem (Go to 'Settings' > 'General' > 'About').
Let me know when you have a chance to try this, we'll get this figured out! Oh, and if the problem continues please tell me how many albums you have stored on the 'Photos' app.
Cheers,
Enrique
I forgot to mention that I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. The latest info: I have 10.5GB available space. I had three photo albums. Two were empty awaiting picture transfers. I deleted the empty two and now just have one that has pictures in it. I uninstalled the app, turned off the iPad, restarted, reinstalled the app, took a picture and verified it was in the photos app, tried to transfer and get the same error message about compatibility. Again, from the PC it looks like the picture transferred.
Thanks for any help and info.
Bob
I'm sorry I didn't get back to you earlier! We are working on updating the app soon so I've been busy with that. One thing that I forgot to ask you is what version of iOS are you using on your iPad? We were just using the app on an iPad 1 with iOS 5.1 and we saw a similar issue so I wanted to ask you for the version you are using now. Also let me know if you figured something else out on your side. One thing that may be interesting to test is to send yourself a picture via email and try to save the photo from the mail app to see if that works just to check if it is a general issue of something related specifically to our app.
Best regards,
Enrique
Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems using the app. This error may happen sometimes when the internal photo database is out of sync. Let's try couple of things. First, try taking a photo with your iPad and then open the photos app and verify that the new photo is there. Then use our app to try your transfer again. If you are using an iPad 1 then take a screenshot instead by holding the power and home button at the same time.
If that does not help let's just try restarting your iPad to make sure everything is refreshed.
In general, it is a good thing to first launch the 'Photos' app on the iPad and then our app to make sure that the photo database is synched.
Let me know how things go after you try this.
Best,
Enrique
Photo Transfer App
I'm sorry you are having problems using the app. Can you please try what Bob suggested on his response below and let us know if it helps?
Also, I would recommend to take a new photo with your device and then open the 'Photos' app. Then, try the transfer again. Doing a full restart of your device can be useful sometimes as well to make sure that everything is refreshed.
Let us know if you need more help.
Best,
Enrique
