Photo Transfer App vs iCloud Photostream

This does it privately, thru your OWN router's internal connection, without going thru any other connections.

Plus it's another way to transfer, like having a USB cable, but you still want other ways too.

Thanks for quick response. I guess at $2.99, why not have options! Just so I'm clear, the transfers using this app must be done with both devices on same wi-fi network?

YES, the same network of your own HOME router, or a public router that allows internal connection file transfers, but that's not as private as your own home router of course.

Thanks for posting your question. And thanks to 'gvdid1' for providing good feedback regarding your question. One more advantage of the app vs iCloud is that you can transfer photos to any other computer or iPhone/iPad/Android that are connected to the same wifi network. With iCloud your photos are transferred only to your devices where you are logged in but you can't transfer to a friend's iPhone/iPad or computer.

Also iCloud can only transfer photos, no videos, whereas the app can transfer both.
