Hi Rollo,

Thanks for contacting us. The procedure to transfer videos from Windows to iPhone is the same as with photos, the help page applies for both photos and videos. One recommendation is to try using our new Windows app that let's you transfer photos and videos much easier:

I hope this helps you. Let us know if you need more help.

Hi John,

Sure, you can definitely copy phtos from the iMac to the iPad and your photos will remain on your iMac. Our app takes the photos and makes a copy of them on the iPad but will definitely NOT remove the pix from your computer, don't worry about that. You can download the app from the app store on your iPad and download the Mac client from here:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo...

And here is a quick tutorial on how to do it:

We hope our app will be useful to you!

Hello Herve,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problem. We are taking a look at this bug, it seems to happen when there is a change to the photo database while the app is open. It should be easy to fix, simply close the app on your windows computer and then close the app on your iPad. Then simply restart the app on the iPad and on the computer and try the transfer again. The photo database is refreshed when you open the app and that should take care of the problem.

We will investigate this further to fix this permanently on the next update of the app.

I hope this helps! Let me know if restarting both apps worked for you.

Best regards,

Enrique

Unfortunately I haven't found a specific link to documentation that states that they are order with the EXIF information but give our tests it seems that's the case. I'll keep digging about this for an official documentation and I'll post it here if I find it.

Thanks for the compliments on the new update. We are working hard to make it better!

Best,

Enrique
Correct, this does not have to do with the transfer, it has to do with the sort order of the photos on the iPad. The camera roll will always sort photos in the same order on iPhone and iPad, the difference is that the iPad has that extra general view 'Photos' which has the different sort order.
Hi,

It seems that Apple decided to try to sort the photos on the 'Photos' tab in some sort of chronological order, it seems that it is trying to read the date of the photo (from the EXIF) data and organize the photos that way although after a few tests I have done it does seem to have trouble with some photos taken with different cameras so the order there is not always perfect chronologically from my experience. The best I can do is to create a new album, save the photos I want on that album and then I can manually sort them if necessary.

I hope this helps!

Hello,

Here is more info, on iPad there are really 3 ways to see the photos. If you touch on the 'Photos' tab (on the top bar) then you see all the photos combined, in this case the photos should actually organized by chronological order (although I've seen that's not sometimes the case with some type of photos). Then, if you go to the 'Albums' tab and then go to the camera roll then the oder is set by when the photos were saved to the device, in that case the photos should appear in a similar fashion as on iPhone as described on my previous post. Finally, if you place the photos inside of an album they will be placed on the order you want, you can actually alter the order inside of the album by touching the 'Edit' button and then drag & dropping photos.

In general though our app just takes the photos transferred and we save them into the camera roll in the order transferred. We hope that soon Apple will allow developers to sort and 'insert' photos in a particular order or location.

I hope this makes more sense. Let me know if you have other questions.

Enrique
Hi Doug,

Thanks for contacting us. There is a way to transfer your iPad edits with our app, I'll explain how. The issue is that Apple keeps several versions of each photo on the iPad. The full resolution version is preserved and that's the one that we move when you transfer photos using full resolution.

To transfer your iPad edits you need to download the medium resolution version which is actually the edited version of the photos. For this you actually need to use the web interface of our app. So, go to the 'Send' to 'PC/Mac' screen, skip the step about the desktop application and follow the instructions on how to use a web browser to transfer your photos. Then, when you are in the transfer web page, select the photos you want to transfer and click on the 'Download all photos as zip file in Medium resolution'.

That should help you getting the iPad edits to your computer.

I hope this will help you! Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Enrique
Photo Transfer App
Hi Martin,

Sorry you keep having issues. Let's start things from the beginning just to make sure that we didn't miss something. Can you please uninstall the app on your iPhone and re-install it from the App Store? (You won't be charged again). Then run the app and accept the access to photos. And then try to discover the device again from the app on your laptop.

I just want to make sure that all the permissions are given because from what you explain the most likely cause of the problem is not being able to read the photos from the device.

Also, can you double check for me what version of iOS you are using? If you are using iOS6 and not iOS5 then there is another permission that needs to be set.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Enrique
