Good suggestion. The Soft-book should be good enough to refresh things on the App Store app. Thanks for adding this!!
BTW... we just released our Mac app to make it even easier to transfer photos between Mac and iDevices. We will do an official release announcement but you can already download the app using the Mac App Store:

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo-...

We hope you like it!
Hi,

I checked our code and we are already checking wether an album is editable or not. The app should only show albums that are editable so in theory the 'event' albums should not show. However, it is possible that if you are using iOS5.0 and not 5.01 or 5.1 that the albums show anyways, can you tell us what version of iOS do you have installed on your device?

Regarding editable vs. not editable albums, if you create the album using iPhoto and then sync with your computer then those albums will be not-editable. If you create an album directly on your device using the 'Photos' app or any other app (like ours) then those albums are editable. So, only the albums created with iTunes/iPhoto become not editable.

I hope this is helpful!

Best regards,

Enrique

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. As 'gvdid1' suggested, you can try right-clicking the link to download your photos and then choosing 'Save Target As' so you can define where you want to save the zip file with your photos. Normally the files you download will be saved on the 'Downloads' folder on your computer, you can look there to see the file named 'photos.zip' is there. After you download the zip file you should be able to extract your photos by simply right clicking on the file and choose 'Extract'.

I hope this is helpful!

Kind regards,

Enrique

Dear Angus, Nick,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having issues with the app. The advice to check that 'Location Services' is turned on is definitely valid. Go to the 'Settings' app on your device and then make sure that 'Location Services' is ON for our app (Apple requires apps accessing albums and photos information to have location services enabled as many of your photos may be geo-tagged).

Specifically for Nick's problem, the list that shows on the website is a list of albums + events. One thing that we need to verify on our side is that the list should only show the 'editable' albums. Some of those albums are not editable (when created with iPhoto) and those albums should not be listed. If they are then that's a bug that we need to correct. I will go ahead and investigate further this issue.

Angus, if you continue having issues even after enabling Location Services please let us know and we can try other things to figure this out.

Thanks for using our app! Sorry about this issues, we appreciate your feedback.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Dear Alejandro,

I'm really sorry it took this long to respond to you, we somehow missed this question. Our app can only read and save photos and videos from the 'Photos' app on your device. We don't support saving videos to the 'Videos' folder as that is intended for larger videos like movies or video podcasts. Our app was created to move photos and videos created by the device which are stored on the native 'Photos' application.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hi Pamela,

Thanks for posting your question here and thanks to 'gvidid1' for the help provided! If you are using the same iTunes account (same email address) as on your iPad then you will not be charged again (even if it says 'buy'). The app is universal so you can install it on both devices and you will pay only once.

Simply verify that you are using the same iTunes account and you are good to go!

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Have a great week!

Regards,

Enrique

Dear Lynne,

Thanks for contacting us. 'gvidid1' has a valid question on his comment, if you changed the iTunes account that you use to download apps on your iPhone 4S you may have a problem downloading the update. Please verify that you are using the same iTunes account as on your iPad and try again.

Let us know if you need more help. We will be glad to assist you.

Kind regards,

Enrique

PS. Thanks gvidid1!
Just as a side reference, here is the same explanation about using 'Location Services' from the people at Dropbox:

https://www.dropbox.com/help/209

I'm just including this so you can see that the 'Location services' restriction is not exclusive from our app. And here is one from Adobe as well:

http://blogs.adobe.com/jnack/2011/01/...

I hope this helps clarify the 'Location Services' issue. As I mentioned before we don't make use of the location information, is simply a restriction imposed by Apple.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Have a nice weekend!

Enrique
Hi Mike,

I'm sorry you are having issues with the app. Sometimes these connection issues have to do with the configuration of the wifi router. Which brand/model of router are you using? Some Apple and Cisco routers allow to create 2 networks, one main network and one guest network. The guest network does not allow devices to talk to each other and that may be a reason why you can't connect to the address provided by the app.

Let us know if you continue having issues and tell us what type of wifi router you have and what is the address that the app is giving you to check that it looks ok. We'll try our best to help you!

Kind regards,

Enrique
