Hello,
Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having issues with the app. How big are your photos? and what model of iPhone or iPad do you have? If you find that the app is crashing over the same set of photos then it would very useful for us to have a sample of your photos to try it out here to figure out what's wrong. You can email us to support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com if you can provide us with some of your photos that are causing problems.
If your photos are really big then I would suggest to reduce the resolution and see if the problem continues especially if you have an older iPhone.
Kind regards,
Enrique

Dear Yuri,
Thanks for contacting us. Im sorry you are having trouble with the app. How long is the video that you are trying to transfer? Also, was it taken with your iPad or was it imported from another source?
One suggestion is to make sure that you are using the latest version of QuickTime on your Mac Book:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Another suggestion is to try using our Mac app to transfer the video (if you are not doing it already):
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo-...
Let me know if you continue having problems. I will be glad to help you.
Kind regards,
Enrique

Hello,
You can try to right-click the 'Download all photos as zip file' link on the transfer web page and then choose 'Save target file as...' (or similar). This will allow you to select the download destination before the transfer starts. That way you are sure where the file will be placed after the transfer is finished.
I hope this helps you!
Kind regards,
Enrique

Dear cris,
Thanks for suggesting this idea. We have analyzed adding an app to transfer music files, however because of the potential legal issues we have decided to stay away from this for now. We may re-evaluate this at a later time.
Thanks again for your feedback. Let us know if you have any other suggestion.
Kind regards,
Enrique

Hello,
Thanks for contacting us. Currently we don't support resizing the images, the images are transferred in full resolution with no modification. However this is a good suggestion that will add to our to do list to see how we could implement it.
In the meantime you can use a program on your computer to do batch resizing over multiple photos. If you have a mac you can search on the Mac App Store where there are a bunch of apps that can do batch resizing.
There is this one that I've tried before and works fairly well for smaller images but not sure how it handles very large photos:

I hope this is helpful!

Dear Mark,
Thanks for contacting us. If you can see your photos using the native 'Photos' app on your iPhone and iPod then you should be able to transfer them to your computer using our app. Currently our app lets you transfer 200 photos at one time so as it is it will take you some time to transfer all your 16,000 photos. However we are testing a new function to transfer many more photos at a time and you may be a good subject test for that! Do you have a Mac computer? If yes, then please send us an email to: support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com and we will walk you through the process. Let us know.
Kind regards,
Enrique

Hi Rich,
Thanks for contacting us. Yes, we are fixing the issue with the thumbnail size! Sorry about that. We will try to push the update as soon as possible. Regarding the send/receive problem, you should be able to send and receive with no problems. We tested the app on an iPad 3rd gen with no problems. One thing you may want to do is to select the photos you want to transfer using the web interface instead of the selector inside of the app to avoid the problem with the thumbnails.
I hope this helps! Let us know if you continue having issues uploading or downloading from your device.
Kind regards,
Enrique

Hi gvidid1,
Thanks for the clarification. Your observation is totally correct, you can definitely also transfer photos created with other devices. My comment was probably going to be misunderstood so I appreciate the clarification. I just wanted to say that all the content that our app can manage is the one stored on the 'Photos' app of the device.
Thanks for the compliment about the app. Yes, we are trying to make the app look better and improving the functionality. I would really like to add HTML5 for the web interface, we already played a bit with that but we are waiting a little more for HTML5 to be totally supported by all browsers to avoid fragmenting the UI when using different browsers.
BTW, as stated on another of my responses, there is now a Mac Client App for Photo Transfer App available here:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo-...
You can now drag & drop photos from and to your device using the Mac app. I hope you like it!
Regards,
Enrique

One thing you may want to check with Cisco Routers is that you are using the main network and not the guest network. Some models of Cisco routers can create 2 separate networks. The guest network prevents communication between devices causing this problem. So, please check that your computer and device are both on the main wifi network.
I hope this helps!
