Hi Bill,

I checked for Firefox (on Mac) and the option would be "Save link as.." instead of "Save target as...". On Firefox for Windows 7 it should be the same option to select where to save the zip file.

I hope this helps!

Best,

Enrique

Thanks for the extra info and the videos. WOW, that looks very close! I'm glad you are ok, I hope nobody got injured!

The thing that is very strange about this is that the iPad should save the video as MOV format. When you take a video on the iPad the resulting file will be on MOV format so I think what's happening is that the 'easyFTP' app is actually downsizing the video and converting it to MP4 and that's why the file is different. Our app looks at the file untouched from the 'Photos' app which should be in the original MOV format. So I think the difference is that the other app is transforming and resizing the video from its original size/format when reading it from the 'Photos' app. I hope this makes some sense. Let me know if you have other comments/ideas.

Best regards,

Enrique
Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. Our app allows you to transfer photos and videos stored within the 'Photos' app on your iPhone. Our app does not have access to the content stored on the 'Videos' app of your device as that content may be protected by copyright. Apple allows to transfer photos and videos from the 'Photos' app only.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Kind regards,

Dear Ganesh,

Thanks for the extra information. That makes sense, the issue is that the iPad 2 cannot play videos on 1080p on iOS4 and that's why you are seeing that issue. Apple fixed that when they released iOS5 allowing the iPad 2 to play 1080p videos.

You can either update your iPad to iOS5 or download your iPhone 4S video to your computer and then reduce the resolution of the video using a software like HandBrake (http://handbrake.fr/) and then upload it to your iPad 2.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. Unfortunately that is currently not possible using our app. We hope that Apple will release an SDK to develop apps for Apple TV but for now AirPlay is the only way to send photos and videos to be displayed on the Apple TV. If we discover a solution for your problem we'll post something here.

Happy new year to you!

Regards,

Enrique

Hi Nick,

If the albums drop down is showing empty then please check that you have location services enabled for our app. That's required by Apple to be able to access albums and photos on your device since your photos may be geo-located. More info about this on this post:

https://getsatisfaction.com/photo_tra...

Please enable the location services for our app and then try the process again.

I hope this helps!

Hi David,

Just to clarify a bit this answer. Currently we don't allow to transfer videos over bluetooth because the potential size and time of the transfer specially on new devices like the iPhone 4s that can create videos in HD making the size of the video really big. We will look again into this for a future release of the app but is mainly because of the transfer speed offered by the BT protocol.

Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Hi Clemente,

Here is a bit more info about your question:

HTTP port: the port that the app uses to communicate over the network. Normally this would never have to be changed unless another app is using the same port and running at the same time.

Selection limits: You can modify these but be aware that if you transfer too many photos at the same time your network may slow down significantly and there is more chancees the transfer may fail due to network connection interruptions

Sound: Turn on and off the sound the app makes after a successful transfer

Mas Video Duration: The maximum size of a video that our app will transfer. This is again because of the possible problems when transferring very large videos using a busy wifi network.

Use Old APIs: This is useful for some photos that sometimes return a non-compatible error. Normally you should not change this.

Clear after transfer: Clears your photo selection after a successful transfer. You can turn this off if you want to send the same set of photos to another device immediatly after.

Use reverse order: The app will save your photos in the reverse order they are selected (when transferring from device to device)

Allow screenshot: Will tell the app to remain running in the background for a few minutes after closing it. This is useful when running the desktop app (for Mac) on your computer and want to take screenshots of another app to be transferred to your computer.

Web password: Enter a password to protect access to the transfer web page.

I hope this helps!

Enrique

Dear Janice,

Thanks for posting your question here. The answer provide by 'gvdid1' is correct (thanks gvdid1!). Please modify the settings on your iPhone and iPad to extend the setting ' Max Video Duration' to allow bigger videos to be transferred. This setting exists because when you transfer very long videos it may take a while and your network may become irresponsive while transferring data so we recommend you not to try to download other things at the same time from other computers.

Let us know if you need more help! We'll be glad to assist you.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Dear Ann,

Thanks for posting your question here. The answer provided by gvdid1 is correct, 'Photo Transfer App' does not have the ability to read videos from the 'Videos' app on your devices. Our app allows you to transfer content (photos and videos) stored on the 'Photos' app of your iPhone and iPad but not outside of it.

To transfer content stored on the 'videos' app you will have to use iTunes. If you created your videos using an app then check if you can save them to the camera roll and then you would be able to transfer them with our app.

I hope this helps you. Let us know if you need further help.

Best regards,

Enrique
