Dear Matt,

Thanks for posting your question here. Our app allows you to transfer photos from your computer to your iPad via wifi using a web browser on your computer only. I would recommend you to watch this video that shows how our app works to transfer from computer to iPad:

http://www.phototransferapp.com/Compu...

Now, all the photos transferred are saved to the 'Saved photos' album. For now, Apple does not allow us to create another album or to organize photos in different folders. So, for now, all photos are saved to 'Saved Photos' album and can't be organized in different folders.

Also, we normally recommend to keep less than 300 - 400 photos inside of the 'Saved photos' album to avoid any performance issue while looking at your photos on iPad.

I hope this answers your question. Please let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Kind regards,

Enrique
Photo Transfer App
Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. When you transfer photos from iPhone to computer or from iPad to computer the photos are transferred exactly as they are on your device. The photos are not modified or resized, they are transferred at the maximum quality and resolution (original size).

However, if you want to transfer photos from a computer to an iPhone/iPad, the photos will be optimized to be displayed on the device's screen (the 'Photos' app will do this automatically), so the resolution may be reduced if the photos are very large. Basically the maximum resolution you will get will be the maximum resolution that the iPhone or iPad can handle internally when saving a photo.

I hope this answers you question. Please let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. You do not need to buy WinZip or other software. Normally Windows should be able to open zip files by default. What version of windows are you using?

Normally if you right-click the zip file you should have an option to 'Extract' the files inside of the zip file. Windows should create a new folder with your photos inside after it is done extracting the contents. Do you have that option when you right click the zip file?

Let me know. I will be happy to help.

Enrique

Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. You need to download the app on both devices but you only pay once.

The app is a universal app so it runs on both your iPhone and your iPad. Basically when you buy it on your iPhone or on your iPad you can download it for FREE in the other device. You can download the app in one device and then sync with iTunes to get the app on both devices or you can simply download it from the app store on each one. Don't worry you will not get charged the second time, Apple knows that you own the app so it will treat it as an Update and you won't be charged (even though it says 'buy') as long as you use the same iTunes account in both devices.

Let us know if you have any other question. We will be happy to help.

Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. Maybe flash is somehow 'stuck' and closing your web browser and opening it again can help. Has the button worked before?

Another suggestion is to check that you have the latest version of the flash player. You can do that by going to this URL:

http://www.adobe.com/products/flashpl...

If you continue having issues I would suggest to restart your computer. Sometimes flash is bit buggy and restarting it will refresh all memory or any process that got stuck.

A final suggestion would be to use a different browser, specially if using Internet Explorer. You could try using Safari, Google Chrome or Firefox.

I hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes. We'll be happy to help.

Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. I'm sorry you are having problems using the app.

Normally the zip file that contains your photos is downloaded to your 'Downloads' folder on your computer. If you are using Safari or Google Chrome you can go to the 'Window' menu and choose 'Downloads' which will show you all the downloaded files. In Firefox this option is located under the 'Tools' menu

If you can't find the 'photos.zip' file on your 'Downloads' folder then I would recommend you to try the process but right-click the link to 'Download all photos as zip file' (instead of clicking it directly) on the transfer web page. When you right-click the link please choose the 'Save linked file as' option. This will allow you to select a place on your hard drive where to save the zip file that contains your photos.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you continue having problems. We will be happy to help.

Hello Colleen,

Thanks for posting your question here. I believe your question is the same as the one posted here:

http://getsatisfaction.com/photo_tran...

Basically, some iPhones after upgrading to iOS4 are presenting this problem. Please read the information on the link above and let us know if synching with iTunes solved the problem. Try to delete the 'iTunes cache' folder on your computer and synch again. Hopefully that helps solving this issue.

Let us know how it goes.

Hello Sara,

Thanks for posting your question here. Your photos are transferred over your local wifi network, they are not sent to any external server and they don't travel over the internet.

Basically, the way the app works is by creating a tiny web server on your device. Then you contact that tiny web server from your computer using a local address that is only accessible from your internal network (nobody else outside your wifi network can access that address).

You can even transfer photos when your wifi router is disconnected from the internet because all transfers happen inside of the network - there is no communication to outside servers.

So, as long as you are using your home wifi network all transfers are secure. And even when using a public wifi network someone would need to know the address that appears on your device to access the transfer website (which is only available when Photo Transfer is running on your device).

I hope this answers your question. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other question or concern.

We hope the app will be useful to you.

Kind regards,

Enrique
