Thanks for posting your comment. Yes, you are correct, I think my answer was not the best one here.
Let me clarify. On iPad, when you transfer photos from PC to iPad the photos are saved to the 'Saved Photos' album. If you don't have a 'Saved photos' album it should be created automatically when you transfer your first photos. In some cases however, we have had customers who had to create the 'Saved photos' album first for the transferred photos to appear (you can create the 'Saved Photos' album just by saving an image from an email attachment or from a web page by holding your finger over any image on the page.
Now, on iPhone the photos transferred from PC to iPhone they should end on the Camera Roll (that's how Apple designed it). After you transfer the photos from the computer to the iPhone you need to open the 'Photos' app to view the photos that you transferred. If they are not there then please tell us if they were on JPG format and were did they come from. If they are very big images I would recommend to resize them before transferring to the iPhone.
I hope this makes sense now. Please let me us if you have any other question or comment. We'll be happy to help.
Your app works good except for the unforgetable limitations imposed by Apple. It's unblieveable that you can not save photos into an album or folder. I am trying to upload a small home made video over 50MB and the progress bar remains empty although wheel is spinning. Where will it go? Let us know how big the file can be? Make your "Hints" more promineent. Your simple 1,2,3,4 system is nice if not for Apple. Other than the presentation to be used for high end professsional photography I would never but an Ipad again.
Thanks for posting your question here. I'm sorry you are having problems using the app.
Normally the zip file that contains your photos is downloaded to your 'Downloads' folder on your computer. If you are using Safari or Google Chrome you can go to the 'Window' menu and choose 'Downloads' which will show you all the downloaded files. In Firefox this option is located under the 'Tools' menu
If you can't find the 'photos.zip' file on your 'Downloads' folder then I would recommend you to try the process but right-click the link to 'Download all photos as zip file' (instead of clicking it directly) on the transfer web page. When you right-click the link please choose the 'Save linked file as' option. This will allow you to select a place on your hard drive where to save the zip file that contains your photos.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you continue having problems. We will be happy to help.
I think the question is "where are they on the iPad (or in my case the iPhone). When you send photos from the PC to the iWhatever, they get sent as .jpeg not archived in a zip. After the transfer you get a message that you can view them in the photo app, however they don't appear to be in the camera roll, which is the only album that I have. Where did they land?
Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app.
This problem normally is due to an incompatible video format. Our app tries to save the video file but it fails so it just hangs there. How was the video created? Normally all videos created by an iDevice work just fine but we have noticed that some videos created by other cameras or software have compatibility issues some times. Let me know how did you create the video so I can think if there is a way to convert it. Have you tried uploading it a second time? same results?
I'm sorry about this issue. Let me know some details about your video and I hope we can come up with a solution.
I'm also having the same problem. Transferring photos from PC to iPad3 and they are know where to be found. I start the iPad Photo's app and see my Camera Roll photos and other albums I copied from iTunes but no photos from the Photo Transfer App????
Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems finding your photos. Our app should save all your photos on the 'Camera roll' album of your iPad. There is no other place where the photos can be saved. Did you get the message that your photos were transferred successfully? If yes, then your photos should be on the camera roll.
Also, maybe a good idea is to take a picture with your iPad to make sure that the photo database is updated. After taking the photo try the transfer again with our app, the photos should be saved on the camera roll and on any album that you select.
I hope this helps you! Please let us know if you have any other question or comment.
Same problem. Tried to transfer photos from Imac (OS10.6.8) to Ipad mini. Followed instructions with great care. Upload extremely slow but eventually got message "Photos Loaded". Photos nowhere to be found. Looked on this Community site. Confirmed I had done everything right, but noted the suggestion that I take a picture on the Ipad, so did this and tried again. I watched the spinning wheel (at least a progress bar would reassure one something is happening) for 21 minutes while 4 3.4mb JPEGs supposedly uploaded. At last got the "Photos Loaded" message again. They are again nowhere to be found so clearly have NOT been uploaded. What else can I do except delete the App as useless and ask for a refund? PeterF
What version of the app are you using? Also are you using the Mac Desktop application or the web browser? If you are not using the Mac desktop app then I would recommend downloading it and giving it a try here:
You are not receiving any error message? it just loads and says that the transfer was successful but you can't locate your photos? What direction are you transferring to / from? :)
One more note, if you are transferring from Mac to iPad then your photos will be saved to the 'photos' app on your iPad. Did you look there in the 'camera roll' album inside of the native 'photos' app? Let us know if you need more help.
Now Wednesday. Have just tried using web browser to go direct to my Ipad Mini.
Success! Four photos duly uploaded to Photo Roll. Perhaps the problem lay, then, in the desktop app. I may try downloading this again, in case something had a glitch during the download. However, using the web browser route did not take much longer than using the desktop app.
Concerning my final problem. After my third attempt at registration I received a "confirm email address email". This had not happened before - if one was sent it did not reach me. So perhaps that was the difficulty. PeterF
Sorry for the delay responding to your question. The videos should have been stored on the 'Photos' app along with the photos. Do you know what format the were the videos? Some video formats are not accepted by the iPad. Also make sure that you are running the latest version of the app on both iPad and Galaxy devices.
Thank you.
1. I have Version 2.0 on my Imac. Can't tell what version I have on the Ipad Mini, but it was downloaded from the App Store yesterday, so should be the latest. I was using the Mac Desktop application.
2. Trying to transfer from Imac to Ipad Mini. No error message, but I suspect the Spinning Wheel and the eventual Photos Loaded message were false.
3. Yes, I looked in Camera Roll and was nothing there. I also followed previous advice to take a picture on the Ipad. This turned up OK in Camera Roll. I then tried again to transfer four photos (.JPG) with the same lack of success.
Yes, the privacy setting for Photos is set to On for Photo Transfer. The suggestion about trying using the web interface will take more time than I have tonight (if only because I do not have a clue how to do that so will have to learn. Further action is therefore postponed to another day. Peter
To add to my last. Each time I communicate I have to log in again and twice now all trace of me has been lost, so that I have to register again. More and more frustrating. Peter

Can you please quickly check that you have given permissions to our app to read/write photos:
http://phototransferapp.com/help/ios6...
Look at the link above and make sure that the privacy setting for Photos is turned on for our app. Let me know the results.
Also, another good test would be to try on using the web interface of our app instead of the Mac app to see if that makes a difference.
