This is a good suggestion and we will definitely think of how to integrate it with our app. We are actually in the process of adding some new features to the app and we will try to fit this in.
The only challenge I see if that currently Apple does not allow apps to organize photos on the iPad freely. Basically, we can save photos to the 'Saved photos' album and that's pretty much it. We don't have permission to create new folders or organize photos in different way which is a really frustrating limitation. We are hoping that Apple will change this soon giving developers more access to the 'Photos' app.

Thanks for posting your question here. No, your photos are transferred exactly as they are stored on your iPhone without any loss of quality or modification. We take the photos files exactly as they are on your iPhone and send them to your computer.

We just reviewed our code and it looks like we made a small mistake on the settings configuration on the last version of our app that is preventing the sound to be turned off. I sincerely apologize for this issue. We will fix it and put an update to the app store soon.
In the meantime you can simply turn off the sound of your device while the transfer occurs. Again, we are sorry about this issue and we thank you for your patience.

I'm really sorry you are having problems with the app. Let me explain a bit how the app works so you have an idea why sometimes these connection problems occur.
The address provided inside of the application is the internal address of your device on the network. This address is assigned by your wifi router and each device/computer will have one assigned when it connects to the network. The address is only reachable inside of the network -it's a private address- which means that only devices connected to the same network will be able to reach it. That is why is very important to double check that your device and your computer are on the same network.
Now, when you type the address on the web browser what happens is that the browser talks to the router requesting to be connected to the device with the address provided. Normally any home wifi router will establish the connection immediatly and the the app then will respond with the transfer web page. However, some more routers are configured to block any communication between devices on the network for security reasons. This prevents devices to talk to each other which leads to a page not found error.
Also, sometimes when the device has not been active on the network for a while the router may "forget" about it and the connection will fail. A suggestion to avoid this is to open the 'Settings' app on your iPhone/iPad, turn off wifi and then turn it back on to join the network again. This will help making sure that the connection with the router is established.
Another suggestion is to restart the wifi router to make sure that all the connections and addresses get refreshed. Unfortunately some routers get stuck with internal addresses so resetting is something that may help.
I hope this explains a bit how the app works. Please let us know if you continue having problems and send us the brand and model of your wifi router so we can research if there is anything that may need to be modified on the router's configuration. We've sent multiple emails to the app review team and everything they say is that we need to wait and that they will be in touch with us. As you can imagine this is very frustrating for us as well, as others pointed out it normally takes just a few days to get an update approved but this time for some reason Apple is taking very very long to do it. Here is a screenshot of the current status of the app on the iTunes connect portal just so you know that we are completely transparent about this:
We hope this 'nightmare' will end soon and that we will hear from Apple in the next few days. I apologize again, I will post something here as soon as we have more news.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for posting your question here. Can you try downloading the app again from the app store? Maybe there was an network connection issue when the app was downloading. Don't worry, you will not be charged twice if you already paid for the app.

Dear Peg,
Thanks for posting your question here. After you transferred a batch of photos you should clear your selection and then select a new batch of photos. You should be able to transfer up to 200 photos at one time.

Normally, Photo Transfer App should always transfer the original video file and should present all assets that you have on the 'Photos' app. Is the original video still on the 'Camera roll' album? Also, what happens if you shoot a new video with your iPhone and try to transfer it with PTA? It should transfer the full resolution video at 1080p.

Thanks for posting your problem here. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app.
I would recommend you to try to open the 'Photos' app before you start a transfer to make sure that the photo catalog is up to date. Opening the photos app forces the database to get updated, then, try to transfer your photos again.
If the problem persists even after opening the 'Photos' app before the transfer then you can try this:
1. Open the 'Settings' app on your device and scroll down until you find our app ('Transfer')
2. Change the switch for 'Use old saving APIs' to ON and close the settings app.
Doing this will tell our application to use the old programming interfaces provided by Apple to save your photos. We noticed that the new interface provided by Apple was having problems saving some photos and that's why we implemented this workaround. We submitted a bug report to Apple and we are still waiting for them to say something about it
