Hi gvidid1!

I just saw this question. This is interesting, I was actually just working on figuring out why the albums drop down would sometimes show empty for some people and looks like you are having that issue too. One of the reasons why the drop down would show empty is if for some reason you had turned off the "Location Services" setting for our app. Can you double check that for me and see if it is ON. If it is then the problem is with something else and we can start digging to see what could possibly cause this.

For now the app does not have the ability to recognize duplicates when trying to save photos. It will simply save the photo again if you send the same one. One issue is that Apple does not let apps delete or overwrite existing photos. Our app however could check if a photo (same size/date/location) exists already and ask the user if he/she wants to still save the photo. That is something that we will work on to avoid this issues and we will try to push in an upcoming update.

We are investigating the cause of this issue. Can you try something for us? Please try to turn off wifi on your device and then try to launch the app. Let us kno if the app starts. We are currently investigating an issue with wifi state permissions that may be related to this. I look forward to your results.

Hi Henry,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems using the app. We are currently investigating an issue related to permissions on ICS that is likely affecting our app and causing this issue. The error we been logging is related to being able to the information about the wifi state:

java.lang.SecurityException: WifiService: Neither user 10150 nor current process has android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE.

This didn't cause any trouble before but it seems that in ICS is giving trouble. We are investigating and we will push a fix soon. Thanks for your patience.

Dear Tim,

I'm sorry you are having trouble with the app. Let me add couple of comments to try to help here. You don't need to modify the settings of the app (that only applies to our iPhone app version). You should be able to select as many photos as you want, it is strange that the web browser freezes. However, I would recommend you to transfer in batches of about 100 to avoid having a very large zip file which may cause trouble when transferring it.

Regarding your second issue, what program are you using to unzip the file? Please try to simply right-click the zip file using the Windows File Explorer and then use the option to 'Extract' the files. That should create a new folder with your pictures.

I'm sorry you are having trouble with the app. If you already transferred the first 200 photos then you can clear your prior selection and select the next batch of photos from your device. To clear the selection touch the 'Select photos' button and then touch the 'Clear All' button so you can select a new batch of photos.

Thanks for contacting us. No, the photos are not stored anywhere, the transfer goes directly from one device to another using your internal wifi network. In fact, the photos never leave your wifi network and never travel over the internet. The connection is done from device to device using the wifi network that your wifi router creates.

One more note, if you want to modify the photo files then please make sure that you extract the photos from the zip file first to a new folder on your computer, otherwise they will be marked as read-only if they are still inside of the zip file.
