Dear Dave,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having issues with the app. Can you tyr using the default windows program to do the unzip? Please try right-clicking on the zip file using the Windows File Explorer and then choosing 'Extract' to see if that helps.

Also, if the problem persists, can you try transferring a different set of photos (maybe from a different album on your device) to see if the problem continues. Maybe the issue is with one of the photos stored on the device that is messing up the zip headers.

Let us know when you try these things. We will be happy to help.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hi Jan,

If you want to transfer photos from your friend's computer to your iPad then make sure that they are both connected to the same wifi network, then open our app on your iPad and go to the address provided by the app using your friend's computer web browser. After the transfer web page loads you need to use the 'Upload photos' button that appears at the bottom of the transfer web page to select the photos that you want to be transferred to your iPad. If you don't see the Upload photos button then please make sure that the flash player plugin is installed on your friends computer:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Also, you can also install the Mac version of our app (free) on your friends computer from here:

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo-...

The mac app allows you to upload and download from computer to iPad.

I hopte this helps you! Let me know if you need further assistance. I will be glad to help.

Best,

Enrique

Hi gvdid1,

No problem! :) I'm glad the issue is clarified! Actually, thinking about this issue made me think of a feature that I think could be useful which would be to offer a medium resolution version of videos as well. Right now you can download the full resolution version of the video but sometimes you actually don't need the HD version of it specially when publishing to the web or simply sharing the video of a fire in your building with a friend :) So, maybe a good feature would be to allow people to download a medium resolution version which would dramatically decrease the size of the file specially when the videos are taken with an iPhone 4S or the new iPad. Anyways, just a thought triggered by this conversation.

Cheers!

Enrique
Dear Dave,

Just to clarify, the photos that you transfer from computer to iPad are saved to the 'Saved Photos' album (on iPad 1) and to the 'Camera roll' album (on iPad 2). After the transfer finishes you should look for your photos inside of those folders on the native 'photos' app.

I hope this helps! Have a nice week!

Enrique

Dear Maisie,

Thanks for posting your question here. In order to transfer your photos using our applications the photos need to be saved within the native 'Photos' app on your iPad. Our app cannot read photos stored inside of other apps like 'Photo Sort'. Each app has its own storage space that other apps can't access. I would recommend you to save the photos on the 'Camera roll' of your iPad and then our app will be able to transfer them from there.

I hope this helps! Have a nice week!

Kind regards,

Enrique

Just to clarify, you can transfer multiple videos from one iDevice to another but not from iDevice to computer for now. We are working on enabling transferring multiple videos at one time from device to computer using a different method than zip file, it will be ready for the next version of the app.

Thanks again for your feedback!

Dear Daniel,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Let's try a few things to see if we can get this sorted out. First thing is to check if you have enough free space on your iPhone to transfer the video. Our app needs to make a temporary copy of the video to be able to transfer it to your computer so it needs some free space to create the temp copy.

I would recommend you to uninstall the app and install the app again, this ensures that there isn't any temp or cache file staying around for the next transfer (don't worry you will not have to pay for the app again when you re-install it). Then try the transfer of your video again. One thing I would recommend you is to have the iPhone and computer as close as possible to the wifi router to increase the download speed.

Then when the transfer is over try viewing your video with QuickTime - download latest version from here:

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

Or using VLC which is another good free software to watch videos on computer:

I hope this helps you. Let us know if you need further help.

Dear Kenneth,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Your iPhone 4S takes video using a resolution that your iPad 1 can't play. However, our app should detect the device type and make the appropriate adjustment to the video before the transfer so your iPad can play it. When did you install the app? Make sure that you have the latest version of the app on both iPhone and iPad.

Also, if the problem continues then open the 'Settings' app on your iPad and then scroll until you find the settings for our app. Then, turn ON the switch that says "Use old saving apis'. Then try the transfer again to see if that helps.

I hope this is useful. Let me know when you try these things.

Dear Craig,

Thanks for contacting us. Our app transfers your video files exactly as they are stored on your iPda, we don't modify or change any parameters on the videos. The new iPad takes videos at very high resolution so one possible cause of the slow-down may simply be that your computer can't keep pace with the rendering of the video. Do you have another computer where you can try playing the video? That would be a good test.

Another option is to download VLC player (free) and try to play the video with that to see if the playback improves:

I hope this helps you. Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Unfortunately Apple will not allow reading the albums or photos if Location Services are turned off :( We've submitted a feature request to them about this and hopefully they will change that on iOS6 (whenever that comes!). It is an issue that definitely causes confusion among users so I hope they listen to us and to other many developers who have the same problem!

In any case, we are adding a better error message for this so people understand what they need to do to fix it.

Thanks again for your feedback!

Best,

Enrique
