One more note to this is to check that you have enough space free on your iPhone before starting the transfer to make sure that the app has room to make a temporary copy of the video in order to transfer it to your computer.

Hope this helps you!

One additional note is to check the privacy settings (as Amber suggested) on BOTH devices to make sure that the app has access to the 'photos' on the sender and receiving devices.

Don't hesitate to contact us again if you continue having issues.

Hi MK,

I'm sorry you had issues with the app. We've added the request to add 'jpeg' files to our allowed types in the app to fix this on the next update of the app. Again I apologize for this issue, we hope to have it fixed soon.

Hi Laura,

Thanks for contacting us. Most likely your company's wifi network is configured to block devices to talk to each other, this may be for security reasons. Unfortunately we can't do much in this case. If you have a mac you could create an ad-hoc wireless network following these instructions:

http://phototransferapp.com/help/mac/...

This way your mac will act as a wifi hotspot and you can then connect your iPhone and iPad to it to transfer photos. Otherwise you can contact the network administrator to see if they can open HTTP connections across the network on port 8080.

Let us know if you have other questions or comments.

Hi David,

I'm sorry you are still having problems. Have you tried using the manual entry mode to enter the device address manually to see if you can connect that way? Also, can you tell me what type of address the app is giving you just to check the type of wifi network that you are connected to. To check the device address you can go to the main screen of the app and touch the little "thunder" button on the top right corner of the app.

Regards,

Enrique
Hi John,

I'm sorry for the long delay responding to you. The address displayed by the app is given by your wifi router and can't be changed. Each device on the network gets its own address managed by the wifi router. Please close the app and open it again on your iPad an on your desktop and try to discover the devices again. BTW, are you using our Mac desktop app? If not, here is the link from where you can install it:

Hi David,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Can you tell us what type of wifi network? Is it a home wifi network or a public one? If you are at home I would recommend you to reset your wifi router and join the network again from both iPhones. Sometimes wifi routers have trouble broadcasting the devices and doing a reset can help.

Let us know if you have other questions or comments.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for contacting us. Are you using the 'Backup' feature on the desktop app to get photos from your iPad to your computer? If yes, then that feature is designed to take only new photos based on the file name. In your particular case I can see how that could be a problem if new photos with the same names are added to the device. We will take this into consideration to look for different ways to detect 'real' duplicates and avoid skipping the photos with the same name but different content.

Another possibility is that you choose a different download/backup folder for each new batch of photos you want to download. With this you will for sure avoid this problem.

Let us know if you have other questions or comments.

Hi Doni,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. It seems that we have an issue with the introduction screen when your iPad is still running iOS4.3. The solution to this is to update your iPad to iOS5 or iOS6 which are the most recent versions of the operating system published by Apple. To do that please connect your iPad to the computer you normally sync and update to iOS5 or iOS6.

I hope this helps you! Let me know if you need further assistance.

Enrique

Hi Howard,

Interesting. Did you take both photos with the same app? Also, how are you looking at the EXIF data, what software are you using? I'm asking to see how to replicate this.
