Hi Mona,

One extra note, if you are transferring from iPhone to iPad you need to transfer the photos in batches, this is to ensure that the transfers complete correctly. If you want to transfer all the 1300 photos you can transfer in batches of 200 for example. The app helps you keep track of that by paging the photos when you are selecting them.

I hope this helps you. Please let us know if you have other questions or comments.

Best,

Enrique

Hi Leslie,

One extra note, are you having an specific problem transferring the video? One recommendation when you try again is to make sure that your iPad has enough storage (at least the 6GB) as our app needs to temporarily create a duplicate of the video to transfer it. Also, make sure that your iPad and PC are as close as possible to the wifi router to make sure that they get the best connection possible during the transfer.

Hope this helps you.

Yes! The app is compatible with iOS7 GM. Let us know ir you have any question or comment when using the app.
Hi Rich,

Thanks for contacting us. Currently you can only transfer from an iPhone/iPad/iTouch/Android to a Mac/Windows but not from one Mac to another Mac with our app. We may add that in the future.

Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Hi Sheri,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. It seems that we have an issue with the introduction screen when your iPad is still running iOS4.3. The solution to this is to update your iPad to iOS5 or iOS6 which are the most recent versions of the operating system published by Apple. To do that please connect your iPad to the computer you normally sync and update to iOS5 or iOS6.

I hope this helps you! Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best,

Enrique
Hi Bruno,

Thanks for contacting us. Yes, the app maintains all EXIF metadata since many versions ago. The app does maintain all exif information when transferring from iOS to iOS and iOS to computer. If you took the photos with your iPhone and then transfer them to the iPad the photos should have all exif information including GPS info. If the photos you transferred came from a different source then make sure that they have GPS information. Also, make sure that you are recording the GPS info when taking the photos on your iPhone (iPhone Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Camera)

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Hi Nino,

Thanks for sending us the crash logs. We've identified the issue, unfortunately on the new version of the app we are using a method only available on iOS5.1 and newer which is causing the crash if your device still uses iOS5.0. That was a bad move on our side. We implemented a fix and the issue will be fixed in the next update of the app (in around 2-3 weeks as we are also preparing for iOS7 compatibility). In the meantime however, you can simply update your device to iOS6 and get this problem fixed :) By updating your device to iOS6 you will also get a few more features that we've added that are only available on iOS6.

I apologize for this issue and I thank you for your help getting this figured out. Let me know if you have other questions or comments.

Thanks!

Enrique
Hi Nino,

I'm sorry you are still having problems. I think the issue is related to iOS5 on your iPhone, we may have missed something when compiling for iOS5 compatibility and that may be causing the crash. Is there a reason why you haven't updated to iOS6?

One very useful thing would be to have the crash logs so we know exactly where the app is failing. If you could send us the crash logs that would be great. To get to the crash logs please follow the steps described on this web page:

http://www.ondemandworld.com/how-to-f...

You can zip the logs and send them to us to our support email: support@phototransferapp.com -- We only need the files that start with 'PhotoTransferApp'.

Thanks for your help getting this figured out! Hopefully the crash logs will give us an idea of what's going on!

Regards,

Enrique
Hi Nino,

Interesting, we haven't seen this issue before so I'm really curious to know what's going on... one possible problem is that in the new version we are sorting photos by date and maybe one of the photos in your collection has a problem with the metadata which could cause a problem. Let's try one more thing:

> Open the app on your iPhone and touch the Settings button on the main screen. Then turn OFF the 'Sort photos by date' switch and then try to select photos again. Hopefully that will take care of the problem.

Let me know when you have tested this. I look forward to hear your results.

Thanks,

Enrique

Hi Nino,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Can you tell me if the app is crashing on the iPhone or on the Mac side?

If the crash happens on iPhone can you tell me if you have the same problem when going to 'Send > Device > Select Photos'? Can you select photos on the iPhone to send to another device?

Also, does it only happen with the Camera Roll album? Can you see other albums?

Another thing to try is to open the 'Settings' screen on the iPhone app (there is a little gear icon on the main screen) and touch the 'Forget devices' button and then trying to connect again from the Mac app.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Enrique
