Dear Benjamin,

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be more then happy to help you.

When you receive the .zip file on your computer did you unzip the files? Where you able to at least see the .zip file and where just having issues unzipping?

When you transfer photos from your iDevice to your computer it .zips the photos/videos and you need to extract them. To extract them right click on the .zip file and hit "Extract Files". You can choose to extract them to a new folder or at the location where the .zip file is, for example; to your desktop. Any windows computer should allow you to extract files from a zip file without having to install or pay for any extra software.

I would also suggest you right-click the 'Download photos as zip file' on the transfer web page to be able to select where to save the photos using the 'Save linked file as..' menu.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you are getting unextracted .zip files with empty content or problems unzipping.

Warm Regards,

Amber

Dear Tim,

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be more then happy to assist you.

Are the photos in a JPG, GIF or PNG format? Our app only supports those formats and if it is in any other format, the photos will not transfer. Did you edit the photos in any program or software before you attempted your transfer?

Are you using a home wifi network or a public wifi network when you are attempting to transfer? If you are using a home wifi network I would recommend that you close out the app and the website, restart your wifi router and then relaunch everything to see if that refreshes your connection.

Please let me know if this helps or if you continue to have problems. Thanks!

Amber

Dear Cindy,

Thank you for posting your question here. I will be more then happy to help you.

Have you tried to relaunch your photo album? Close out the photo app and then relaunch it to see if it shows up. Also make sure that your videos are in a .MOV format in order to transfer.

What is the length/size of the video you are attempting to transfer?

Dear Scott Hardman,

Thanks for posting your question here, I will be more then happy to help you!

As of right now, our app does not allow you to transfer 'folders'. To select multiple photos to upload from computer to your iPad you need to press the 'Ctrl' key on windows or the 'Apple' key on mac as you select the photos that you want to transfer from your computer. Pressing this key will allow you to select and transfer multiple photos at one time.

We have prepared an instructional videos on our website which can be found here: www.phototransferapp.com

Dear Barbara,

Thanks for posting your question here.

You don't need to have anything installed on your computer. As long as you still have the app installed on your iPad you should be able to transfer photos. On your computer you only need a web browser like Internet Explorer/Safari/Chrome, etc. to transfer photos.

You can view some videos that show how the app works on our website: http://www.phototransferapp.com/

I hope this helps you. Please let us know if you have any other question or comment. We will be happy to help.

Dear Peter,

Thank you for posting your question here. I will be happy to help.

The app needs to be connected to a wifi network in order to transfer photos. Also, note some public wifi networks like at Starbucks blocks communication between devices .

Another alternative is to connect using an ad-hoc network. Here are the instructions on how to create an 'ad-hoc' network using Windows 7:

http://www.kombitz.com/2009/02/09/win...

Windows Vista:

http://getsatisfaction.com/photo_tran...

Windows XP:

http://getsatisfaction.com/photo_tran...

Mac:

After you create the ad-hoc network on your computer go to your device and using the 'Settings' app join the ad-hoc wifi network that you just created.

After joining the ad-hoc network on your device open 'Photo Transfer App' and you should get a new address that you can use from your computer's web browser to start transferring photos. If you get a 'No wifi connection' message just close the app and wait for a few seconds until the little wifi icon is displayed on the top left corner of your iPad/iPhone.

Let me know how it goes.

Kind regards,

Amber

Dear Gunther Steinberg,

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be more then happy to help you.

This is most likely an error with the App store. Please try downloading the app again to see if you receive the same error.

Do not worry about being charged a second time. Our app is a universal app. As long as you use the same iTunes account, it will just treat the download like an 'update'.

I hope this helps!
