Have you tried closing out our app and the photos app, launch the photos app first on your iPad one and then launch our app and try to connect? Sometimes the library just needs a fresh connection.

Are you running the latest version of iOS6 on your iDevice? We just pushed an update for our app so make sure you are running the latest version. Currently that is 3.4. You can check here.

Our app needs location services turned on. If you are concerned about your privacy with our app and enabling location services, you can check out this thread for more information about our app and location services / privacy concerns you might have.

If you recently updated to iOS6 the way to authorize apps to access your photos has changed. If you haven't installed the update, we recommend you update the app to 3.4. If you haven't yet in the meantime, please go to this web address to get the instructions on how to enable access to your photos via the 'Privacy settings':

Please follow those instructions and let us know if it worked. If not, then you may need to restart our app. To do that, please double tab the 'Home button' of your device until the running apps appear and then hold your finger over our app and then tap the little '-' icon that appears over the icon. After that, launch our app and you should have access to your photos.

I apologies for the delay in response.

Make sure your send photos or videos not photos and videos. Also please note we just released an update for our app. The latest version is 3.4. Please make sure that you update the app and when you do please attempt your transfer again and let me know if you continue to have the same problem.

Also make sure that your devices are connected to the same wifi network as sometimes they join nearby networks.

Are you sending a photo when you get this error, or a video?

You shouldn't have to purchase Winzip. You should be able to download the .zip file to your computer and use the default program that comes with your computer. All you need to do is:

Right click -> Extract all


This should allow you to unzip the photos.zip file onto your desktop or wherever you have the file stored.

I will be happy to help you. I am sorry you are having issues with the app.

From what device are you sending / receiving too? Please note: as of right now, our app does not support transferring videos from Android to an iOS device. The reason for this is because the codec's are different between platforms. We are however trying to work on a potential fix for this.

I would also recommend you keep the app running while you are attempting to transfer from one device to another. If the connection times out ( because the app is not launched ) then it will not successfully transfer.

When you download the photos from your iPad to your Mac you can download them in whatever resolution you wish :) Medium resolution or Full resolution. It will then be downloaded to your computer as photos.zip.

Did you transfer your photos to your desired album? You need to specify which album you wish to transfer too. If you didn't specify an album, it should be in your camera roll if the download was successful. Did you check there?

Apple does not provide a way to transfer an entire album from your device to computer. As of right now our app can transfer photos / videos from albums you've created on your device to your computer over wifi but it cannot transfer the entire album by itself.

You can only transfer the content within it.

Our app does not transfer directly to iPhoto or from iPhoto. The photos need to be somewhere on your computer in a photos folder, for example, in order to transfer from computer to your iDevice.

Yes, this could be the reason why you are experiencing some issues is because you are on public wifi networks ( and a different private network ). Have you tried transferring between the two devices via bluetooth?

Are you on a home wifi network or a public wifi network? Make sure that you have the app running on your device before you transfer and that your device is connected to the same wifi network as your computer.

I would like to also suggest maybe using our Mac app to transfer photos from iDevice to your mac using our mac app:

Just install the software from the link and then launch the app on your iDevice and on the Mac. Your mac should discover your device when you click on "discover devices" button on the mac app. Also make sure that your iDevice and mac are connected to the same network.
