Unable to create request (bad URL?)

Brittany Blake Smith 13 years ago updated 13 years ago 6
I successfully used the app to transfer 200 pictures/videos and then all of a sudden I am getting an error message. It says "unable to create request (bad URL?). I have reset my wireless router and reconnected. I waited overnight to see if the problem was just some fluke going on with my connection. This morning I'm still getting the same error message.
Hello Brittany,

I will be happy to help you. I am sorry you are having issues with the app.

From what device are you sending / receiving too? Please note: as of right now, our app does not support transferring videos from Android to an iOS device. The reason for this is because the codec's are different between platforms. We are however trying to work on a potential fix for this.

I would also recommend you keep the app running while you are attempting to transfer from one device to another. If the connection times out ( because the app is not launched ) then it will not successfully transfer.

best,

Amber

I am sending from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5. I have tried two different wifi networks and leave the app running on both devices the whole time. I attempted the transfers again and I am able to successfully transfer the first 200 pictures/videos out of my camera roll. After that, I get the same error message when I try to send the rest. Thank you.
Brittany,

I apologies for the delay in response.

Make sure your send photos or videos not photos and videos. Also please note we just released an update for our app. The latest version is 3.4. Please make sure that you update the app and when you do please attempt your transfer again and let me know if you continue to have the same problem.

Also make sure that your devices are connected to the same wifi network as sometimes they join nearby networks.

Are you sending a photo when you get this error, or a video?

Best,

Amber
I get this error when I am sending photos. I have updated the app on both devices and still have the same problem. They are both connected to the same wifi network. The first two sets of 100 photos/videos work perfectly.
Hello. It still isn't working! Can I get my money back???
Hi Brittany,

I'm sorry we didn't respond before. I apologize you are still having problems with the app. It seems that maybe one of the photos that you selected on the transfer is having some type of issue. Did you take all those photos with your iPhone or imported them from another source?

Unfortunately we can't process refunds. Apple handles all payments and customer information and we have no access to it. They take care of credit card processing and sales (that's why they keep a 30% cut on each app sale). You can try to contact them via iTunes to request the refund that way.

Also, we will be publishing an update to the app that should help fixing this problem, it should be out within the next couple of weeks.

Best,

Enrique
