Hello!

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be happy to assist you! I am sorry you are having issues with the app.

What iOS are you running on your iPad 2? When using the web browser after uninstall the app are you still getting the error not able to locate your photos? I would recommend that you close out our app, launch your photos app first and then launch our app and connect to the web browser and try to locate your photos.

Also are you on a home wifi network and are you on the same wifi network as before when our app was working?

Please let me know the above!

Best,

Amber
Hello Judy,

Thank you for contacting us, I will be happy to assist you!

Did you download the Mac desktop app from here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo...

When you download the desktop app for Mac, it should show up in your Apps if the app installed correctly. Did our iTunes indicate that it installed? Have you tried using finder to look for the Photo Transfer App?

Please try the link above and let me know if you continue to have any other issues installing the desktop app for Mac!

Hello!

Thank you for posting your question here with us, I will be happy to assist you with the app.

Please make sure that you have both your iPad and Computer connected to the same wifi network. Your PC doesn't need to be hooked up via wifi but as long as it shares the same ethernet as the wifi router it should work.

If they are both sharing the same wifi network, I would like to recommend that you close out our app, launch your photos app on your device and then launch our app on both your device and computer. Then please try to re-discover your device. Sometimes it takes a couple of attempts to discover the devices on the network and it just needs to be re-broadcasted.

Also, are you using our web browser or the desktop app? If you aren't using the desktop app I recommend giving that a try. It's free to download :) http://phototransferapp.com/win/

Please let me know if this helps or if you continue to have issues!

Hello Graham,

No problem, I am glad that it is working :)

In regards to your inquiry, once you create your album then you can transfer to that newly created album. The transfer will not initiate until you pick the photos you want to transfer, so it won't automatically start transferring anything to that new album until you choose your photos / videos.

"Click to upload to album" is after you've selected your photos to transfer to either an existing album or the new one you just created.

Please let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions!

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us, Kerry.

Did you happen to modify those photos in any other app or any other source that might have changed the "exif" data? Did you take your photos with your iPhone / iPad?

I would like to suggest that you please try this:

1) Open Photo Transfer App on your iDevice
2) Go to 'Send' > 'Device' > 'Select photos & videos'
3) Find the photo you transferred and then long press over it. This should bring the photo in full screen. Then press on the 'info' button on the top right corner.
4) Check that the date of the photo is correct.

The photo metadata should be preserved. On the 'Photos' tab they are organized by time so the photos will be arranged according to the 'exif' date which should correspond to the date the photo was taken.

Also there is a related topic to this as well: https://getsatisfaction.com/photo_tra...

Are you experiencing the same issues? Even after attempting the above?

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have other questions.

Hello Robin,

We have an excellent walk through on our website that shows you how to delete photos from your iPad: http://blog.phototransferapp.com/2013...

If you are running iOS7, to delete your photos you need to open the photos app, tap on the album and then tap on "select" at the top. This will then allow you to select your photos and once you do, a trashcan icon should appear which will allow you to delete your photos.

The photos that didn't transfer - If you transferred from iPad to Mac then there isn't a way our app moved photos that you didn't choose. So if you didn't select your photos, they wouldn't have transferred over. Maybe you saved those photos from a different place? Or synced them via iTunes?

Amber
Hello George,

Thank you for posting your question with us! I sincerely apologies for the long delay in response!

In regards to your question as of right now it isn't possible to delete or modify photos / videos off your device with our app. Apple only allows 3rd party apps certain privileges in regards to your photos / videos and removing photos or videos is something our app cannot do.

So in order to delete photos you will have to manually delete them by tapping on the photos app, the trashcan icon and then from there, you will be able to delete them.

If you are running iOS7, to delete your photos just tap on "select", tap on the photo you want to delete and hit the trashcan icon when it appears at the bottom of your screen.

Please let me know if you have any other questions! Again, I apologies for the long delay in response.
