Hello Apryl,

Thank you for posting your question with us, I will be happy to assist you with using our app!

Our app cannot remove or modify anything on your device so our app cannot delete your photos after they transfer. To delete photos off your device you will have to do it manually.

To delete them just open the photos app on your iPad, tap on "select" at the top right hand corner and then you can tap on the photos you want to delete and then hit the trashcan icon. This will then delete your photos manually.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Amber

Hello,

Thank you for posting your question, Gordon.

Usually with anything larger then a few gigs we recommend syncing with iTunes then transferring with our app over wifi. The reason for this is it's such a huge file that it may experience issues transferring over a wifi network because it's so large. Also the app can time out eventually if you don't keep it running to transfer the video and your wifi connection also factors as well.

Can you try syncing it with iTunes and seeing if you experience the same issue?

Hello Bill,

There is a great clip converter software which has worked for others in the past converting it to a .MOV format or compatible iDevice format which is .mp4 is: http://handbrake.fr

Can you try converting your video file with handbrake and see if that works? Did you happen to modify your videos before you transferred them with our app? Or where they taken directly with your iPhone?

Amber
Hello,

Thank you for contacting us, Robert, I will be happy to assist you!

If you are using the desktop app, once you launch the app then discover your devices you will see that your iPad should show up with the list of albums to download to/from.

To download from Windows to iPad you can either:

1) Drag and drop your photos into the desired album of your choice
2) Select the photos that you would like to transfer and at the bottom, you will see a variety of selections you can make. Choose Upload to Album. This will download the photos from your PC to your iPad.

Please let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions!

Hello Bill,

Thank you for posting your inquiry with us :)

If you are playing it on a computer, what are you using to view the videos with? What software?

I recommend viewing them using Quicktime. Please let me know if viewing your videos in QT helps!

Hello Robert!

Thanks for contacting us. I will be happy to assist you!

Regarding the names of photos transferred from computer to device (or visa versa); We depend on the programming interfaces that Apple provides on the iPhone SDK to read the photos and videos and they do not include being able to read the original name of the files.

Basically, when a photo is saved to an iPhone or an iPad they get assigned an internal name created by the 'Photos' app. When we read the photos they already have a different name which makes it impossible to go back to the original name.

Please let us know if you have any other question or comments!

Hello Tim,

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be happy to assist you!

When you transfer photos from your PC to iPad they will transfer in the order in which you selected them and they will appear oldest being on the bottom as that is how Apple orders photos that are 'new'. So your photos will show up in the order you select them at the bottom of your Photos App.

Please let me know if you have any other questions! I will be happy to assist you!

Hello!

Thank you for posting your question with us, Alex. I will be happy to assist you with our app and discovering your device(s).

Are you running the latest version of our app on your iPod? The latest version is 4.4. Have you tried using the web browser instead of the desktop app? Please give that a try and let me know if you continue to experience issues.

Also as a side note: please make sure that you allowed authorization for our app to access your photos after you updated our app. If you are on iOS5 please verify that you have enabled Location Services for our app under Settings -> Location Services. If you don't see Location services listed then please look under General -> restrictions to see if it's turned ON. For iOS6 the way to authorize apps to access your photos has changed on iOS6. Please go to this web address to get the instructions on how to enable access to your photos via the 'Privacy settings':

iPhone/iPod:
http://phototransferapp.com/help/ios6...

Please follow those instructions and let us know if it worked. If not, then you may need to restart our app. To do that, please double tab the 'Home button' of your device until the running apps appear and then hold your finger over our app and then tap the little '-' icon that appears over the icon. After that, launch our app and you should have access to your photos. Once you restart our app then please try to rediscover your device, sometimes it just needs a fresh connection :)

Best,
