Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app.

For now we decided not to support background transfers because we were having some problems when we tested long transfers. Sometimes with transfers of over 20 files the transfers would not always complete. We are still looking at this issue to try to figure out a solution to make the transfers 100% reliable in background mode (we do not want to release a feature that does not always work). Hopefully we will have an update soon with background transfers enabled. Thanks for your patience. I will post something here when the update is ready.

Let us know if you have any other comment or suggestion.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems, this issue is most likely due to a connection interruption to the App Store when you were updating the app.

Have you tried downloading other apps? I would suggest to restart your device to see if that helps. Maybe something is stuck with the device's app store app and a restart can always help refreshing things.

My other suggestion is to connect your device to your computer and then download the app from the iTunes store. You will not be charged again since you already own the app (as long as you use the same iTunes account). Then, after you download it you should go to the 'Apps' section of your device on iTunes and make sure that 'Transfer' (our app) is selected to synch with your device.

I hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes. I will be very happy to assist you.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. We currently only support transferring between iPhone, iTouch and iPad devices. We do not suppor direct transfers from Blackberry to iPad right now.

One option would be to copy your photos from your Blackberry to your computer and then use our software (or iTunes) to transfer from computer to iPad.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Dear Greg,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Our app transfers your videos and photos exactly as they are stored on your iTouch, we do not modify them in any way. What program are you using to view your videos? I would recommend to make sure that you have the latest update of Quick Time player. You can download a free version from the Apple website:

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

Also, make sure that your computer is not running too many other programs so it can play the videos correctly.

I hope this helps you. Let me know if you have any other question or comment.

Best regards,

Enrique

Hello everyone,

This is good news. Yesterday we submitted an update to Photo Transfer App that includes the ability to transfer photos in RAW format from iPad to computer. Please update the app on your device and give it a try to this new functionality. You can update the app by using the 'App store' app on your iPad.

Sorry it took us sometime to release it this feature. We hope you will find it useful. By the way, we recommend to transfer photos in batches of 10 or 15 given the file size of RAW files. You can transfer in bigger batches but be aware that it will take a few minutes to complete the transfer. The photos are transferred at full resolution (RAW and JPG) there is no change on the resolution made by our app.

Let us know if you find any problem. We look forward to your feedback.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Dear Armando,

Did you update the application to the latest version (2.2)? If yes, are you using an iPad with iOS4.2? We increased the selection limit for iPads running the latest version of the iPad OS released by Apple around November last year. You can tell what version of the iPad OS you are running by going to the 'Settings' app on the 'General'/'About' section.

You could also modify the selection limit setting by yourself. What you need to do is to open the 'Settings' app and scroll down until you find our app ('Transfer') then, change the selection limit setting to a 100. However, we recommend to keep it at 56 if you are still running iOS 3.2.

I hope this clarifies things. Please let us know if you have any other question or comment. We will be happy to hear your feedback.

Best regards,

Enrique

Dear Patti,

Thanks for posting your question here. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app.

This problem is most likely happening because the photo database is not up to date. To solve it, simply open the 'photos' app on your iPhone and go to the thumbnails screen of the camera roll, this should force the database to be updated. Then, launch our application and try to select your photos again, your new photos should be displayed there.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you continue having problems. I will be very happy to assist you.

Dear Jude,

I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. I would recommend you to try to use the alternate address that appears on your iPad when you launch our app, the one that says for 'Windows' computers which should also work with mac computers. Sometimes wifi routers have trouble converting the 'Apple' address and in this case the 'windows' address can help establishing the connection.

I hope this helps. Please send us an email to support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com if you continue having problems, we will be happy to continue helping you.

Best regards,

Enrique

Normally if you reset your router the address that is given changes a little. when you go to the 'Settings' app on your device and then touch the 'Wifi' settings does it show that you are connected to the same wifi network as in your computer?

Also do you have other devices connected to the network like a wireless printer? If you could also post the model and brand of your wifi router that will be useful to research if there is anything that needs to be changed there.
