Have a nice evening!
Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app.

What type of photos were you trying to transfer? Were they in very high resolution?

If there is a JPG icon instead of the actual picture I would recommend to try this:

1. Open the 'Settings' app on your device and scroll down until you find our app ('Transfer')

3. Change the switch for 'Use old saving APIs' to ON

Doing this will tell our application to use the old programming interfaces provided by Apple to save your photos. The old programming interfaces are not having the problem that is causing your photos to show as JPG icons.

I would recommend to delete the photos that you transferred and then after doing the change above you can try to transfer them again. You can delete those icons by going to the 'Saved photos' album on your iPad and then use the 'action' button (on the top right corner) of the thumbnails view.

I hope this helps you. Please let me know if you have any other question or comment. I will be happy to help.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. Our app was designed to transfer photos between devices and from device to computer. We don't provide the function to download/upload photos from Facebook. If you install the facebook app on your iPad you should be able to send photos to Facebook with that. I believe there is another app called 'Friendly Facebook for iPad' that would do that too.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hi Ritesh,

When you go to the address provided by the app you should have 2 links, one to download the photos in full resolution and other one to download the photos in medium resolution.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hi Cathylin,

The photos and videos will retain the modification date when you use the 'Download all photos as zip file', have you tried that? If you download files individually from the transfer web page then the modification date is the date of the transfer unfortunately. Are you using the Zip download or downloading files individually?

Best regards,

Enrique

Dear James,

Thanks for posting your problem here. I'm sorry you had trouble with the app. To delete the photos with the JPG icon you can touch the 'action' button on the top right corner of the thumbnails view to select the photos you want to delete.

You need to first go to the 'Albums' view, then touch the 'Camera roll album' and then touch the little 'action' button on the top right of the screen, this will allow you to select multiple thumbnails at the same time including the JPG icons. Then you can delete those files and continue transferring other photos if necessary.

I hope this helps you. Please let us know if you have any other question or comment. We will be glad to help.

Best regards,

Hi Ted,
Thanks for taking the time to write us your feedback. We are working the new version of our app (v3.0) with some cool new features. I'm not sure if MobileMe has public API that we can use but we will take a look at that. Flickr does have a public API so we will add this to our request list and hopefully we will be able to incorporate it on v3.0.

Thanks again for your feedback! Let us know if you have any other idea or suggestion! I will post something here as soon as we release v3.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Photo Transfer App
Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. I'm sorry you are having issues with the app. I would recommend you to go to the 'Settings' app on your device and make sure that the Location Services is enabled for our application as our app needs that have Location Services turned on to be able to read your photos (Apple requires apps accessing photos to have LS enabled to access photos since they are geo-located) .

Regarding your second problem, what type of photos are you trying to transfer? Did you take them with a digital camera or were they modified using software on your computer? If you modify them then please make sure that you are using the RGB color space and not the CMYK as this last one may has issues on the albums app.

Also, in the new version of our app we are using a new programming interface provided by Apple that it looks like is having some problems when saving photo files with certain metadata. We noticed this and we implemented a workaround that may fix your problem. Please follow these instructions to enable the workaround:

1. Open the 'Settings' app on your device and scroll down until you find our app ('Transfer')

2. Change the switch for 'Use old saving APIs' to ON and close the settings app.

Doing this will tell our application to use the old programming interfaces provided by Apple to save your photos. I hope that will fix the problem you are having.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you need more assistance. I will be very happy to help.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hi Luiz,

That's very strange. Would you mind sending us a sample photo so we can try it on our end? Our support email is: support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com. Having a sample photos would be useful to see what the error is and how we can fix it. Is this happening with all photos or with just a few that you tried to transfer?

Best,

Enrique
