Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. Our program transfers your photos exactly as they are stored on the source. Did you transfer from computer to device or the other direction?

If you transfer photos from your iPhone/iPad to your computer then I would recommend to use a different program to view the photos. Some old photo viewer programs (like the Windows XP photo viewer) don't recognize the rotation headers of the iPhone photos so that may be the issue. Let me know some info about the type of transfer you did and your system and I can provide further help if you need to.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Dear Paul,

Thanks for posting your question here. You can delete photos from the 'Saved photos' album directly on your iPad, however you can't delete the ones in other albums created with iTunes/iPhoto. For those ones you have to connect to your computer and sync your iPad.

Here is the direct explanation from the iPad's user's manual:

http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/i...

From this manual: "You can delete photos from the Saved Photos album, which contains photos you save from email or the web. For photos synced from your computer, you need to delete the photo from the album on your computer, then sync iPad again."

So, in summary, you can delete the photos inside of the 'Saved photos' album but you can't delete from other albums (our app can only save to the 'Saved photos' album so if you go to that album you should be able to delete the photos you transfer with our program).

I hope this is answers your question. Let us know if you have any other questions or comments. We'll be happy to help.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Dear Ricardo,

Thanks for posting your question here. I'm sorry I didn't respond earlier, that's strange, what type of video did you transfer? What format was it? Our app transfer video files exactly as they are stored on the source - there is no modification or resampling done in the process - so the video should play just fine. Currently the ipad supports videos in MOV, M4V and MP4 formats, however some videos are encoded using codecs that are not supported by Apple and this may be the problem.

I hope this helps somehow. Please let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Best,

Enrique

Dear Steve,

Thanks for posting your question here. Photos and videos are transferred separately (because of the potential size of videos). When you transfer from iPhone to iPad there are 2 buttons on the receiver screen, one to 'Get photos' and the other to 'Get videos'. Maybe you just used the 'Get photos' and that's why the photos transferred but not the videos.

Please try to select your videos and then use the 'Get videos' button to transfer videos to your iPad. After the videos are transferred they will be saved to the 'Photos' app on your iPad.

I hope this makes sense. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments. I will be glad to help.

Best regards,

Enrique

Dear Jim,

Thanks for posting your question here. When you are connected to an open wifi network other people could connect to your device, however, they would have to know the address of your device and the port that is running on. Also, the connection would be possible only when the app is active on your device, as soon as the app is closed the connection is no longer possible.

If you are running the app frequently on a public wifi network I would recommend you to change the port number that the app runs on. Open the 'Settings' app on your device and then scroll until you find our app. Then, change the port number setting to a number between 1024 and 9999. This way the app will be running on a different port that you will know. Please note that the address provided by the app will be different ending on the new port number instead of :8080.

Regarding Bluetooth, the only way the connection is possible is if both devices are running the Bluetooth screen inside of the app and touch the 'Enable bluetooth' button.

I hope this makes sense. Please let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hello,

Thanks for posting your question here. Yes, absolutely, our app reads your photos from the iPad and transfers them to your computer leaving the originals on your iPad untouched. In fact, Apple does not allow apps to remove photos from your iPad, they only allow developers to read photos but not to remove them.

I hope this answers your question. Please let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Hi Kim,

Thanks for your comment. Please try this:

"When you extract the contents of the zip file you could select all the files and then double click on them, then you will be prompted to accept to open them and then they will be open on 'Preview'. After this you should be able to use the files with no problems. You should be able to drag and drop them to iPhoto or to any other program."

Let me know when you have a chance to try this out.

Cheers,

Enrique
Hi Diane,

Thanks for posting your question here. I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with the app. Do you know what type of wifi router you have? Most of the times this issue has to do with how the wifi router is configured. If you have an Apple Extreme router or a Cisco Wallet router make sure that you are using the main wifi network and not the guest network.

If you continue having issues please send us the address that the app is giving you to our support email: support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com so we can continue helping you. We will be glad to assist you.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for posting your question here. Here is a video that shows you how to transfer photos from an iPhone or iTouch to your computer:

http://phototransferapp.com/PCTransfe...

You only have to have the app installed on your device. Then, make sure that your MacBook Air is connected to the same wifi network as your iTouch and go to the address provided by the app using your computer's web browser.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Best regards,

Enrique
