Error Message re: image format msg
Just d/l the transfer app a few days ago and just tried it for the first time. When I try to transfer, I am getting a message on the PC saying:
An error occurred while trying to save an image. The image format may not be compatible with this device. Do you want to continue transferring the rest of your photos? (Continue/cancel.)
If I say "continue" it does say that the photo transferred, but the error message comes up again. I tried transferring 1 picture at a time, and while it does transfer, it sends 2 copies instead of just 1. Any idea why it would say the file format is not compatible? All photos are saved in .JPG form.

Thanks for posting your question here. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. What type of JPG files were you trying to transfer? Were they in very high resolution?
I would recommend you to try to open the 'Photos' app before you start a transfer to make sure that the photo catalog is up to date. Opening the photos app forces the database to get updated, then, try to transfer your videos/photos again using our app. Sometimes the photo database needs to be updated before a transfer takes place otherwise the 'Photos' app interface returns an error.
If that does not work then, try this:
1. Open the 'Settings' app on your device and scroll down until you find our app ('Transfer')
2. Change the switch for 'Use old saving APIs' to ON and close the settings app.
Doing this will tell our application to use the old programming interfaces provided by Apple to save your photos. It looks like the new programming interface provided in the last SDK is having some problems with certain photos/videos. I hope that will fix the problem you are having. Let me know when you have a chance to try this out.
I hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes. I will be very happy to assist you.
Kind regards,
Enrique

a. The file transfers now take place
b. However the error messages still appear (unjustifiably so, since the transfers occur). We always click on "Continue" to proceed
c. Some photos are still duplicated in the process
I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. So, did you try changing the settings as recommended on the first post? If yes, can you tell us what type of images are you trying to transfer, are they very large high resolution images? I would also recommend to try transferring in smaller batches to see if that helps. Another suggestion is to always run the native 'Photos' app before starting a transfer to make sure that the photo database is up to date.
I hope this helps!
Best,
Enrique

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, I did exactly what was suggested in your previous post: opening “Photos” first and changing the settings. There was some improvement because the file transfer took place, but as I said, the error messages persisted and some photos were duplicated.
In response to your questions, in my attempts I never exceeded 5 photos and the photos were all under 1.5 Mbyte.
Hope you can find a solution, because otherwise the program is useless. I see from other postings that this problem is not new...
Thanks
Luiz
That's very strange. Would you mind sending us a sample photo so we can try it on our end? Our support email is: support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com. Having a sample photos would be useful to see what the error is and how we can fix it. Is this happening with all photos or with just a few that you tried to transfer?
Best,
Enrique
Please give this a try: Please go to this web address to get the instructions on how to enable access to your photos via the 'Privacy settings':

Please follow those instructions and let us know if it worked. If not, then you may need to restart our app. To do that, please double tab the 'Home button' of your device until the running apps appear and then hold your finger over our app and then tap the little '-' icon that appears over the icon. After that, launch our app and you should have access to your photos.
Please let me know if you continue to have issues!
