Dear Andy,

Thanks for contacting us, I will be more then happy to help you.

I would suggest that you force quit the app and try to relaunch it to see if you get the same error. To force quit the app simply tap the home button twice, tap and hold on the photo transfer app and wait until it wiggles with a red "-" beside it. Tap the red '-" and relaunch the app.

If that doesn't work I would recommend you delete the app and reinstall it to see if that helps. It shouldn't charge you to reinstall it as long as you use the same iTunes account you used to purchase the app originally.

Please let me know if this helps!

Warm Regards,

Amber

Dear Eugene,

Thanks for posting your question here. I'm really sorry you are having issues with the app. We are aware of a bug with the video upload function that is causing some videos to be saved as JPG files. I'm really sorry about this, we already fixed the issue and submitted an update to Apple for review. Apple takes a few days to review and approved software updates so now we are just waiting for them to release the update.

I'm sorry again, thanks for your patience. I will get back to you as soon as the update is released.

Best regards,
Amber

Dear Paul,

Can you show me the IP address you are inserting into the address bar of your web browser? Also can you tell me if you are using a home wifi network or a public wifi network.

If you are using a home wifi network, can you tell me the make and model of your wifi router?

Thanks!

Kind Regards,

Amber

Dear Sidne,

My pleasure, happy to help :) and the version of your OS matters on your iDevice (current version is iOS5) and the updated version of our app 3.0.

So as long as you have the updated version of our 'app' then you should be good to go.

Thanks!

Dear Balloyd,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app.

The address that you sent us looks perfectly normal so there may be something small missing here. Are you using a home wifi network or a public wifi network? If you are using a home wifi network, can you tell me the brand and model of your wifi router? Maybe there is something special on the configuration of the router that is causing the problem. Did you by any change modify the default settings of the router? Also make sure you type the address in the address bar of your web browser and not the 'search' bar.

Please note that sometimes it takes couple of attempts to establish communication. You can try quitting the app go to the Settings app and turn off wifi, then turn it back on and join your network again. Then, launch our app and use the address that appears on your device from your computer's web browser.

Finally, you could also try resetting your wifi router to make sure that all connections get refreshed. After you reset the wifi router you need to join the network again on your iPad and try the transfer process again.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you continue having problems, I will be very happy to help.

Kind regards,

Amber

Dear Fitzpatrick,

Photo Transfer App allows you to easily download photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad to your computer as well as exchange photos from and to your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Transfer over WiFi, no cables or extra software required.

As long as your iPad2 is on the same wifi network as your G4 then you can transfer between idevice and computer and visa versa. Also make sure that your photos are in a JPG, GIF or PNG format as those are the supporting formats.

You can find more information about our app on our website here: www.PhotoTransferApp.com

I hope this helps!

Warm Regards,

Amber

Dear Mike,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Make sure you are typing the address in the address bar of your web browser and not the search engine of your web browser like google.

I would recommend you to double check that your iPhone/iPad and computer are connected to the same wifi network as sometimes the iPhone/iPad may join automatically another nearby network. Also note that using the wifi at your work may not be successful because some public routers are configured to block communication which will not allow the webpage to show or display.

If you verified that they are in the same wifi network then you could try using the alternate address that appears on your iPhone/iPad when you launch our app (the one that says for Windows computers with a few numbers). Please note that sometimes it takes couple of attempts to establish communication.

Also, please make sure that you keep the app running on your device and that you type the address exactly as it appears on the app including the 'http://' and the ':8080' parts.

Finally, you could also try resetting your wifi router to make sure that all connections get refreshed. After you reset the wifi router you need to join the network again on your iPhone/iPad and try the transfer process again.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you continue having problems, if you do please send me the address that you are getting to check if it looks ok. I will be very happy to help.

Kind regards,

Amber

Dear Orange4India,

Thanks for contacting us. I will be more then happy to assist you.

Are you running the latest version of our app 3.0? Others where experiencing the same issue when they updated to iOS5 but not the app. Did you download your photos in batches of 100 photos? Was there any error message when you extracted your empty zip file or was there just no content?

It could also be you need to clear your batch of files and refresh the library. To transfer new photos you can simply touch the 'Select photos & videos' button and then use the 'Clear' button to unselect the photos you had selected before - this does not delete your photos, it only clears your previous selection. This can refresh your selections and you can attempt to transfer again.

Please let me know if you continue having problems. I will be very happy to help.

Dear Patrick,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having issues with the app.

Are the videos in a .MOV format? Was the last video made (or all your videos) made with your iPhone 4S?

Are you trying to transfer from iPhone 4S to iPad 1? If so the issue with iPhone 4S videos is that they are in 1080p resolution and currently the iPad 1 cannot handle videos on that resolution. Our app transfers the videos in full resolution and when they are received by the iPad 1 they are rejected by the photos app.

We are working on reducing the resolution of the videos before the transfer takes place when the receiving device can't handle 1080p videos. We have already submitted an update to Apple and we are just waiting for them to approve it.

I'm sorry about this issue. Thanks for your patience. I will let you know when we publish this update.

Kind regards,
Amber
