This is most likely due to a network connection issue. I would like to suggest that you please rest your wifi router to refresh all network connections and try the backup again.

The backup operation will skip the photos that were already backed up on the first attempt.

Please check what happens when you use the web interface instead of the desktop app. Your setup seems ot be ok, the app should work with iOS 5.1 and on iPad 2 so that shouldn't be the problem.

Can you see the camera roll photos via the web interface and let us know if you get the same error!

This is related to the way Yosemite (the new version of the Mac operating system) is displaying the albums view in our app. We are currently working on a big update for the Mac client of Photo Transfer App that will fix this and add some nice features.

Are you using our desktop app? I would like to suggest that you use the 'Backup Feature' that is available on the desktop app to transfer all photos in one album if that is what you desire to accomplish.

My pleasure! and if you want to download the app without paying for it again, make sure that you use the same iTunes account you used to originally download the app. You won't be charged again and it should act like an "update" and allow you to install it!

Thank you for posting your question here with us, I will be happy to help you with our app.

If you are trying to use our desktop app, then you will need to find the zip file. It should be titled something like phototransferapp21.zip. From there you need to right click -> extract the files.

After that, open up the folder and run the phototransferapp.exe file. This will then allow you to download / install the app successfully onto your computer.

Did you download our app to your iPad / iPhone successfully using the app store on your device ? did it indicate that it downloaded the app successfully? To check you can swipe down from the top of the screen which will produce your search bar. From there type in Photo Transfer App and see if our app comes up. If it doesn't, please go back to the app store and try to re-download the app.

Unfortunately, the camera roll is the default folder and Apple has set it up to handle photos that way when transferring to an Album on your device. It will transfer that photo to that album as well as the camera roll. We can't do anything about it and we wish it was handled differently.

Something to note: iTunes can create albums without having photos repeated on the camera roll, unfortunately that is an exclusive function of iTunes when synching. Third party apps like ours need to place the photos in the camera roll and also in the album. However, even when creating new albums directly on the 'Photos' app on the iDevice then then placing photos on the new album those photos are also repeated on the camera roll. So basically, the only way to have photos in their own and only album is synching albums with iTunes.

Our app needs to have the physical computer and a wifi network to connect to your device to transfer from one to the other. Our app currently doesn't support backing up your photos or transferring your photos across a server , network or where your device is elsewhere ( over seas, for example ).

When you transfer photos with our app, your photos will go into the camera roll automatically as that is the default album that they're transferred to.

You can also tap on "Photos" and then "collections" to see a list of your collections by date.
