Loss of connection in the middle of backing up albums from iPad
In the middle of a successful transfer of many photo albums from my ipad to my Mac computer using computer app, suddenly I am getting a message on the computer app hat there was error communicating with my device - suggesting that perhaps the iPad app is not the latest version ( I downloaded it today) My device is hung sending files so I can't close the ipad app. Everything was going so smoothly and I can see many of the photos and albums have been downloaded already.
When I do reconnect, does the app sync or re-transfer the photos already on the computer.

This is most likely due to a network connection issue. I would like to suggest that you please rest your wifi router to refresh all network connections and try the backup again.
The backup operation will skip the photos that were already backed up on the first attempt.
