Hi Leonard,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems. Are you running on iOS8 on your iPad? Did you recently changed something on the configuration of your device? And did you enable 'iCloud Photo Library' by any chance? Let me know.

Perhaps you can try to simply restart your device just to make sure that everything is refreshed.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Enrique

Hi Hayden,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. There are couple of things you can check. The first one is the privacy settings. Go to the Settings app > Privacy > Photos and then check that our app is enabled to read your photos. Let us know if you can't find these settings as they are different accross iOS versions. BTW, what version of iOS is your phone running?

One other thing to try is to simply restart your iPhone. It is not a very "elegant" response but sometime a good-old restart may help getting everything refresh.

Finally, please tell me if you recently enabled 'iCloud Photo Library' when updating to iOS8.

I hope this helps. Let us know how things go.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having issues with the app. It seems that perhaps your wifi router is blocking the connection between the devices. What brand of wifi router do you have? If you have an Apple router make sure that you are using the main network and not the 'guest' network as that network will not allow devices to talk to each other.

Best regards,

Enrique

Hi George,

Thanks for the info. I'm puzzled... normally a restart of the device should refresh everything. Especially if you are using an adhoc network connection which connects both devices directly to each other. Did you do any other change to the configuration of your iPhone? Like changing the network settings?

If you keep having problems after trying again please email us to support@phototransferapp.com to send you a promo code to cover for the cost of the app as we can't offer refunds as Apple handles all payment processing and customer info.

Sorry again. Hopefully you have a chance to try it again after you reset your wifi router which may help as well.

Enrique

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. The app was designed to mostly backup photos in the Camera Roll which have a sequential naming convention unlike the Photo Library or the All imported album. I apologize for this oversight, we have solved this problem on the Mac Desktop application on the previous version update and we will also fix this on an upcoming update of the Windows Client. Please send us an email to support@phototransferapp.com referencing this thread and we will try to send you a pre-release version of the app for you as soon as it is ready. Thanks for your patience and my apologies again.

Hi Mary,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry for the delay responding to you.

When are you getting that message? Is it when you try to connect from your Macbook? Also, are you connected to a home wifi network or a public wifi network?

The authorization message will appear when you try to connect from a computer or another device to your iPhone to transfer photos. Please let us know some more information about your setup and we will be happy to help.

Hi John,

Yes, you do need to have the same app on your iPhone and your PC. You can download the app for the iphone from here:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo...

and the PC app from here:

I hope this helps.

Hi George,

I'm sorry you are still having problems. We know that with iOS8.1 some people are having more networking issues than before. We are looking into this. In the meantime, it would be great if you can try creating an 'adhoc' connection betwee your Mac and your iPhone to see if the issue is with the wifi router. Here are some instructions for you to try:

http://www.phototransferapp.com/help/...

Let me know how that works and if you can establish a connection between the devices using the adhoc connection.

Kind regards,

Enrique

Hi Linda,

I'm so sorry for not responding to you before. Did you continue experimenting the same problem? We've done our investigation and one possible cause for this is if you enabled 'iCloud Photo Library' - you can check this by going to:

Settings > iCloud > Photos > iCloud Photo Library

Let me know if you have that enabled please. When you enable this setting all your photos are automatically uploaded to the iCloud Photo Library and the full resolution version of your photos are removed from your device.

Let me know and again my apologies for the big delay getting back to you.

Best,

Enrique
