An important note to the reply above: You need to go to the 'Settings' app on your iPhone, then to 'Privacy' and then to 'Photos' and make sure that our app is enabled to read your photos.

Hopefully this helps you and sorry for the confusion.

Hi Gina,

Thanks for using our app. Yes, once the photos are on your PC you can delete the photos on the iPad if you wish. Deleting them on the iPad does NOT delete them on the Windows PC, they are separate files copied on your computer. I would just recommend you to double check that you have all the pictures that you want on your computer, do a review that all photos are there and then delete them from the iPad if you want.

I hope this helps!

Hi Grant,

Good news!! Apple just published an updated version of iOS, new version is 8.0.2 and it fixes the issue of accessing photos. After you update to iOS8.0.2 everything will be working as before with our apps.

Please let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Hi James,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems. Try to restart your iOS8 device. We had a similar problem and restarting the iOS8 device made everything back to normal.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

Hi Mirna,

Thanks for contacting us. Unfortunately WMV is not compatible on iPhone or iPad. WMV stands for "WIndows Media Video" and uses a codec that is not compatible with Apple. What you can do is to first convert that video to an MP4 or MOV or M4V which are formats that are compatible with Apple. You can use a tool like 'Handbrake' on your computer to convert to the right format:

I hope this helps you!

Hi John,

Our Windows 8 app is a bit more limited, we are in the process of expanding it. You can use the version for classic windows that has a Backup device feature that should help you. You can download it from here:

I hope this helps you!

Hi Keitheley,

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry you are having problems with the app. What type of wifi network are you using? Is it a home wifi network or a public hotspot? If you are at home I would suggest to try to reset your wifi router, some routers don't fully implement the bonjour protocol which we use to discover devices and doing a reset sometimes helps. Also, if you are using a Cisco or Apple wifi router make sure you are connected to the main wifi network and not the guest network.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have other questions or comments.

Can you tell me what version of iOS are you running on your iPhone and iPad? Also, make sure you are running version 4.7 of Photo Transfer App on both devices - you can check that by touching the 'About' button on the main screen of the app. And if you can also tell me what router you have that would be useful to get an idea of whats happening.

Oh and try this on both devices:

1) Open the settings screen by touching the 'gear' button on the main screen
2) Touch the 'Forget devices' button to re-authorize all connections
3) Try the transfer again

Let me know how that goes.

Enrique
Hi Louis,

Sorry you keep having problems. Can you try restarting your wifi router just to make sure that there is not something stuck there with the bonjour advertisement. Some routers don't fully implement device discovery (bonjour) and sometimes they need a quick reset to get things refreshed.

Let me know when you have a chance to try this.

Thanks,

Enrique
