Both devices on same network, but Photo Transfer App doesn't recognize.

Hi. I have downloaded the Photo Transfer App to my mac and have it on my iPad. I have verified and verified that they are both running on the same wi-fi network. However, when I click on "Discover Devices" on my mac, it states that no devices were discovered. Any solutions to this? Thank you.
Hi Keitheley,

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry you are having problems with the app. What type of wifi network are you using? Is it a home wifi network or a public hotspot? If you are at home I would suggest to try to reset your wifi router, some routers don't fully implement the bonjour protocol which we use to discover devices and doing a reset sometimes helps. Also, if you are using a Cisco or Apple wifi router make sure you are connected to the main wifi network and not the guest network.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have other questions or comments.

Best,

Enrique
Photo Transfer App
this advice did not help. I use a home wifi network. I was just downloading, why did it stop?
Hello Roksan,

My apologies for the long delay in response back to you.

Did you just update to iOS8.1? If so, try restarting your device to make sure all the networking discovery is refreshed.

Please let me know how this goes!

Best,

Amber
I am having the same connection problems. I get error message. "There was a problem communicating with your device Please make sure you are using the latest version of photo transfer app on the device that is connected to the same network". The same message appears on all three of my mobile devices. All Apple.
