Hi, may I say, I'm a customer, not working for this developer. :-)

I like the App enough to answer now and again.

If you're asking, will the App transfer videos you've downloaded from iTunes, no, it won't ... Apple restricts that function. But, if the video was a paid one, maybe you can download it on the other iDevice, free, if you use the same account it was paid with the first time.

Sorry I misunderstood your first question.

When Enrique returns later, he'll be able to say if a future update will support your requested function.

The App does transfer from computer to iDevice, and iDevice to iDevice, and iDevice to computer. Even videos NOT made with the iDevice, as long as they're converted to a file the iDevice supports.

I don't think the description on the Apps site ever mentioned transfers from the Videos section of the device. These videos are protected from that, by the iOS System.
May I also chime in to mention, loading the App to your other iDevices is FREE, if you use the same account the original purchase was made with.

So, you don't have to pay again for putting it to the other iPad.
Just enter your same account info to your other iDevices.

When you see how well it works, don't be shy, come back to say so. :-)
One extra point, make sure the App screen remains showing on the iDevice while you're trying to connect with the browser. If you switch to another screen before the transfer starts the browser will not see the connection address showing in the App screen.

Hi Floyd, have you looked at this thread? It has some connection ideas to try, that may help your issues.

Most users have no problems with the App, and the updates have made it better.
In fact, less than 1% of the total reviews, for ALL versions, are negative.

That suggests it's settings on most people's systems that may need adjusting, and the bad reviews were from people who just didn't want to try, or the competition.
:-)

I've posted some common issues with router or iPad settings to try, that you may not have thought of.

Don't give up, the App does work.!

You're quite welcome. :)

I also think some people my not keep the App on the iDevice screen, or may think they can use it in the background, BEFORE the transfer starts.

I noticed if the iDevice is switched to another screen, off the App, before the transfer starts, the PC browser won't connect, so this could be another issue people have, thinking the App doesn't connect.

I was using a remote desktop App, (Splashtop), controlling my PC, using the iPad2, to transfer with yours, and noticed this, that way.

I couldn't connect with the browser to start the transfer when switching to the PC screen, remotely.

Will iOS 5 handle background operation, not needing to have the transfer screen showing at all times?
I didn't realize you had mentioned the settings area already, before my post.

The answer was "hidden" , and I clicked it after, only to see I basically said the same thing.

Oops!

Hi, helping with answers here has become a hobby of mine :-) and I also enjoy answering people's questions when I know the answer.

Regarding the audio files, ... Is it still a copyright issue if you're just transferring the file? I can see if you try to play the MP3 file, or .WAV ... etc... But moving the file may be different, and can also help when using another App, like an audio editor, to bring the file into, or out of, the iPad.

I'd also like to see the Photo Transfer App be able to bring files of any type, or even entire folders, into areas the user chooses to place them.

For example, I'm "playing" with a medical App, called "Mobile MIM", and I have MRI files I'd like transferred to its main download area, without using BlueTooth, or WiFi.

A transfer App, like yours, could make things like this much easier, not just for editing Apps using sound files.

I'm sure Apple may limit you regarding this, but if your App could search the folders, or tell what App uses what folder, and ask to transfer to it, it would help a lot.

Oh well, ... just an idea... :-)
Hi, it sounds to me like you're going to your iPhone photos icon, rather than using the Transfer App. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

When you tap the "Photo Transfer App" icon, you then use THAT Apps "send" function, to then select the photos you wish to transfer, by tapping the "Select Photos and Videos" button showing on the screen. Then, after the photos are chosen, by tapping each, or using the, "Select All" button, you tap the "Done" button.

Make sure you have "location services" turned ON in the "Settings" section of your iPhone, so the transfer App will read the picture info, then use your Mac browser to receive the transfer, by typing in the address showing in the photo transfer app screen, exactly as it shows there, including the http:// and the colon : and port number that shows after the colon, into the browsers address window.

The "RECEIVE and "SEND" buttons are chosen within the App as well, for the function you want to do.

I think you may have thought it adds functions to the iPhone Photos icon, instead.
:-)

There is an instruction page within the Photo Transfer App, that you can look at, if you need to see it. A button called "View Detailed Instructions"... As well as one with "Common Connection Issues", if you can't connect between the devices.

Plus, Enrique is always here to help as well.

Let us know if you've figured it all out, or still need assistance.
