You must be on the same network, and not connected via your cell connection. I have had zero problem in getting this to work. I open the software and it produces a web adresses on the same subnet as my PC. I got to my PC and open a web browser and type the address as shown on my Ipad screen. I am then presented with uplaod buttons on a web page that is hosted by the Ipad. Get help from someone that knows something about networking and they should be able to help you get it to work.

Melissa, could you be more specific about what your problem is? The Ip address should be the address of your Ipad for the purpose of transferring from whatever PC you use to connect to it on port 8080
So what is not happening? The process is simple if the computers are all on the same subnet, or Vlan, or Wifi LAN, i.e. network.

I just posted this: The PC must not be logged into a domain account. Someone might do this to not be monitored by the companies firewall. So if you unplug from the wired network, and stay logged in, but then connect Wifi, you will not be able to connect to the Ipad. It won't matter if you are on the same Wifi network. You must log-off of the domain account, and log back in using the local machine credentials, then reconnect to the Wifi network and all will be fine.
