Hi Enrique,
Well, after much experimenting and many attempts I still have had no luck transferring to the Mac using Safari. I could completely reset Safari but decided against that. I did clear the cache but that didn't help.
For now, I am content to use either of my alternative browsers. I will keep trying with Safari from time to time, you never know it might "fix" itself.
May I say that I am very happy with the overall performance of the app and pleased to be able to receive assistance as needed at this forum.
Many thanks Enrique, if I discover a solution to this conundrum I'll be sure to let you know.
Kind Regards,
Chris

Enrique,
Thanks once again for your reply and interest. Well, guess what? I tried the transfer using Google Chrome and it worked! Almost instantly for a single 2Mb photo.
Previous attempts were made using Safari - my default browser. This begs the question....What setting have I made on Safari that has prohibited photo downloads from the URL?
I can see that I have some investigating to do. If you can think of anything please let me (and anyone else experiencing the same problem) know. I will certainly post solution if I find one.
Many Thanks,
Chris

Enrique, thanks for your reply and suggestions. Unfortunately after trying all that you have suggested - transfers from idevices to the Mac still not working. Out of curiosity I tried Mac to idevices, works well and quickly! So to summarize the performance of the app:- From Pad to Phone and vice-versa....PERFECT. From Mac to either Pad or Phone....PERFECT. From Pad or Phone to Mac.....Not Working.
The "sending photos" blue progress-bar never changes. It starts out at about 20% progress and remains there.
My router is a NetComm Wireless N150 Mini Router P/N:-3GM1Wn.
Have you had any experience with this unit? Any help greatly appreciated.

Well, you may be interested to know that the problem has been solved!
It seems that I had an unwanted guest in my 'internet plug-ins' folder. The item, called "Speed Downloader" was apparently included with something else that I had procured within the last few weeks, and was causing a few problems. I believe that it is basically a good little plug-in, just not tried and tested on the latest version of Safari.
I do not know which of the items that I had downloaded recently contained the offending plug-in. Suffice it to say that once removed, everything worked fine.
I find it curious that such a plug-in should affect Photo Transfer App, as nothing is actually downloaded from outside the local network.
I am posting this just in case anyone has a similar problem, although it does seem that this was a 'one off' sort of thing.
Once again, may I express my satisfaction with the performance of Photo Transfer, it is a very useful app.
Regards'
Chris
