When my mac was OS X 10.4 the Safari connection was a bit tricky but did work and I successfully transferred pictures to and from my ipod touch. I bought an ipad at Christmas and had to upgrade my Mac to 10.5.
Unfortunately I can not get the app to work with my ipad and something weird happened the other day, it connected to iphoto which was really not desirable as i do not store my pictures there. But it disconnected very quickly. I cannot get any connection now.
i have tried turning modem off and on but no joy.
Am using : http://ipad.local:8080/
My ipod touch will connect ok.
I'd be grateful for advice
