I have the same problem -- files stored as .NEF on the computer are transferred to the ipad at full size, but are stored with the .TIF extension rather than the .NEF extension found on the camera. This makes them unavailable to other apps that expect .NEF. The idevice can manage .NEF files, as they're successfully imported through the ipad CCK card reader (and successfully edited). Is there no hope of storing the files with the correct .NEF extension? Is this an SDK limitation??
