Hmm, I'm already running (or trying to run) the Mac app. In fact, my Mac does recognize my iPad, which is not the problem. The problem is that when I click on the iPad under "devices," the albums never load, which in turn prevents me from transferring any of the photos.
I'm obviously not the only one with this problem, given the number of other posts that refer to this issue.
For the time being, I've solved the problem by downloading a competitor's transfer app, which works just fine. But I would've rather been able to use your app, which I had previously paid for.

That did the trick! Thanks so much for alerting me to the privacy settings after updating to iOS6.
