Excellent reply - many thanks Amber. I find the management of photos on the iPhone a difficult process, and confusing because photos in albums seem to only be aliases and not separate photos. I use your app as my goto app.
Enrique,

I do have other camera apps. However I have not used one for weeks and I know that on this day ( this Sunday past) I used the click-on----slide-camera method to go straight in to Camera mode to take all of my photos. Thus it MUST have been the iPhone's own camera app.

I attached two photos to an email version of this reply, taken a few minutes apart late Sunday afternoon - perhaps you have ways of confirming this ? Excuse the banality of the photos :-)

This is not a rampant problem but looking back over my photos it is happening from time to time. Perhaps it is down to some kind of iOS issue outside your control.

Regards,

Howard
Thanks Enrique.

To be totally clear - I ALWAYS launch the desktop App, and the iPhone 5 App in parallel, and inside the Desktop App I choose the photos I want to download and click on "Download Selected".

yet .. two photos taken five minutes apart and downloaded in the same batch ... one has EXIF and one does not. This is happening regularly.
Enrique, I have now posted them to that address.

I am viewing the EXIF using Preview/Tools/Inspector/EXIF tab.

I understand your point about GPS, but does that mean NO EXIF data would be saved ? I would have expected the other EXIF data to be included even if the GPS is not available.

Again ... thanks for your help and interest.
