I have the same problem going from iMac to iPad. All photos are the same format (JPEG). One album transferred perfectly, but none of the others do so. I have tried more than twice. The numbers do not matter. If I try 50, only 30 transfer. If I try twenty, only five or six transfer. In all attempts, I always get a message stating the transfer was successful and giving the number of photos supposedly transferred.
