Update not working on my iPad

Brooklands 13 years ago 5
I have been using Photo Transfer on my iPad version 1, and I got the update notice on the iPad, but it will not install, and now I cannot use the app. How can I fix this?
I finally just removed the app and reinstalled it...bingo!
Hello Brooklands,

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be happy to help you.

Have you tried plugging your iPad directly into your computer and when iTunes launches, use the App store to update our app? You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling it on your iPad directly and then reinstall it using the App store on your iPad.

Are you trying to update using a home wifi network or a public wifi network? If you are using a home wifi network make sure you are connected to your wifi and that you have a strong connection. To ensure this, be as close to your router as possible to make sure you have a strong signal. If you are still having issues you might want to restart your router and then try the update again.

Please let me know if this helps!

Kind Regards,

Also, make sure you're using the same iTunes account login information, name and password, used when you first purchased it.

missing the password by one character can not let the update download
Passwords are case sensitive ... (Upper / lower case with shift on / off)

Does the download start, then stops before it's finished? ...
Or does it not even start, and gives some type of error afterwards?
I was updating about 12 apps when I returned from vacation and the other apps updated, but not this one. I have retried several times. I have not yet turned on the computer that is synced to the iPad, so I have not yet tried Amber's solution.
Another quick suggestion is to simply restart your iPad (by pressing the power button for a few seconds). Sometimes a restart helps getting everything back to normal with the app store app. Hopefully this helps you!
