Am I too old (67) to get this app to work correctly?
Although I followed the instructions, I am unable to connect my iPad to my PC. I get the following messages:
The connection has timed out
The server at 192.168.1.8 is taking too long to respond.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Have you entered the complete address info, in other words,
the http:// part and the :8080 ...
So your complete address to enter into the browser is ...
http://192.168.1.8:8080
Please make sure you use a colon : before the 8080 and not a period .
Also the colon after the http ...
Sometimes, some customers mistake the colon for the period when typing. :-)
If it still doesn't work, you can check your iDevice to see if it's in fact connected to YOUR own home router, instead of possibly connecting to another near-by router, reading this thread.

And another post I made to help setup your home router, to be sure it's your own router you're connecting to ... at this thread ...

If you still have a problem, please post here again, or if it solves your issue, let us know, as well.
Thanks for posting your question here. Sorry you are having problems with the app. I hope the comment above was useful to you (thanks to 'gvdid1'). Let us know if you continue having problems. One important thing to check is that your iPad and your computer are connected to the same wifi network - sometimes the iPad may join a nearby wifi connection automatically.
Also, you may want to try using a different web browser to check if that helps. And as gvdid1 suggested please make sure that you are typing the entire address including the ':8080' part (note that there is a semicolon ':' before the 8080 and not a period).
We will be happy to continue assisting you.
Kind regards,
Enrique

Don't confuse your elders, ... LOL ... :-D
"...(note that there is a semicolon ':' before the 8080 and not a period)..."
Don't you mean "colon" ? ... Not semi-colon...!
:-)
Have you had your morning coffee yet?
That's understandable ... :)
It happened to me too, in this other thread ... :-) ... Momentary Brain Freeze!

Ha ha, I'm still slightly embarrassed with that one ... :)
