Why a zip file?
Why do my high res jpgs have to be in a zip file? Why aren't they in a normal jpg folder in Windows in My Pictures? I don't like that I can't see them until I click on an image to open it. Am I missing something?
When I transfer my jpgs from my iPhone with the USB cord they are in a folder...not zipped. I like them that way.
Can you explain a zipped folder to me?
Thanks!
Annette

That option is there to make it easy to receive a larger number of photos without having to click on each thumbnail link separately.
You can "right-mouse-button" click over that link, and choose "Save Target As.." to direct that zip file to a folder of your choice, on your hard drive, or USB Flash Drive device, then, after it's where you want to put it, uncompress the zip file in that area, by clicking it, and all your photos are revealed at once.
If you just had a few to transfer, you can always select each "thumbnail" link for high or medium resolution, individually, without having it zip them into one large file.
If there's any other reason, or option I may have forgotten, Enrique will clarify when he returns.
The answer provided by 'gvdid1' is totally correct. The reason why the photos are transferred as a zip file is to provide a way to download multiple photos at one time from the web browser to your computer. Web browser dont' offer a way to start multiple downloads at one time so our app first zips your photos and provides you with a link to download them.
One other suggestion after you transfer the zip file you can right-click on the downloaded zip file and then choose 'Extract...' this will create a new folder with all your photos inside of it, then you can copy your photos wherever you want on your hard drive.
I hope this is helpful! Let us know if you have any other questions or comments.
Kind regards,
Enrique
