Have you seen these two posts I made to help make sure you're using your own router, and not connected to a near-by router with the same default router name, and if you're on your own network?
This post explains how to check your iDevice to see if you're on the same network

This one shows settings to make in your own router,
to have unique IP#'s and router name. (my post is further down the thread)

If you still have a problem, please ask, or if it helps, please let us all know. :-)
I'm sorry it took me long to respond. Are you still having problems with the app? If yes, can you provide us with some information about the type of wifi network you are using and the wifi router? Most of the time this type of connection problems are due to a special configuration of the wifi router that you are using. One important thing is that if you are using an Apple or Cisco router to make sure that you are using the main wifi network and not the 'guest' network that these routers create.
Let us know if you need more help.
Kind regards,
Enrique
